It was nice But you must revert to the request we send or ask help before we arrive in your country or to a new destination. We didn’t receive and response and I even informed when I arrived in your hotel, I just requested for a free transfer from airport to Novotel and back to airport. Friendly staff, large room, amazing buffet breakfast. This time we had a view of a corner of the building and the rubbish bins and I’m sure they would have relocated us if we’d asked but I didn’t want the bother of changing rooms as we had unpacked.

Hotel is nice and overall clean. Nice pool, you can play table tennis and xbox and also use gym. Breakfast is okay. A lot of fruits and different breads, but for dessert only couple of pasteries. No cakes or other sweets. Cleaning service strange, only changing towels. Not washing coffe cups, not cleaning coffee table, not filling coffee tray with new coffee, tea or sugar.

Almost all the time is everything ok. I was quite pleasantly surprised, that I was recognized during my last visit. I never happened before even though I was in your hotel many times already. I was disappointed with breakfast during my last visit - very crowded, missing hot water for tea, missing food.

We had a wonderful stay, everything was easy, well organised. Cleaning staff lovely, great breakfast! The only problem we had was at the restaurant, we were the only costumers and waited for over 45 minutes for our order (lunch). Staff didn't even come to say that it will be slower, but when we approached after 35 minutes, thay said to us to be patient! Shameless. And, over all, thay included a 15% VAT service at the end, which was nowhere shown in the pricelist, and the prices are pretty high from the beginning. So this is why we are disappointed, restaurant and the guys working there were unprofessional and everything opposite to their colleagues in the rest of the hotel. So, come here, but SKIP the restaurant.

A hotel that genuinely grew on me. Excellent value and an exceptional team I recently spent 12 nights at Novotel Budapest City, and I have to say that this hotel genuinely grew on me during my stay. The building itself is clearly older and somewhat dated, so my first impression was fairly modest. However, over the course of almost two weeks, the hotel surprised me on many levels and proved to offer absolutely excellent value for money. I normally tend to stay at the more premium Pullman and Mercure properties in Budapest, but Novotel Budapest City has a character and atmosphere of its own that I came to appreciate very much. The hotel offers considerably more facilities than I expected. There is a wellness area and gym, and even a bowling alley. I also really enjoyed the evening events they organize at the outdoor bar, such as the Latino music evenings on Tuesdays. These little touches create a lively and welcoming atmosphere, particularly during a longer stay. The location is another major advantage. Situated on the Buda side, just after entering the city from the highway, the surroundings are much calmer and more relaxed than central Pest. At the same time, MOM Park, one of Budapest's most upscale shopping centres and home to an excellent cinema and great restaurants, is right next door. Getting to the more vibrant Pest side of the city is also very easy by bus, tram or metro. However, what really made my 12-night stay memorable, however, were the people. A special thank you to the "Dream Team" at reception: Zsófia, Bence and intern Farbod. They were consistently friendly, helpful and genuinely customer-oriented. Their attitude made a real difference, especially when you are staying somewhere for almost two weeks rather than just a night or two. And, in my opinion, the real stars of the hotel were the incredibly hard-working cleaning ladies, Anikó and Gabika and their colleagues. In a large, approximately 300-room family hotel, keeping everything spotless while working quickly and efficiently is quite an achievement. Beyond being excellent at their jobs, they were also extremely kind and friendly. Thank you, ladies, for making us feel at home. Novotel Budapest City may not be Budapest's newest or most luxurious hotel, but by the end of my 12 nights there, that really didn't matter. It offers excellent value, plenty of facilities, a convenient yet peaceful location, and, most importantly, people who genuinely make you feel welcome. I would definitely return.
