Room was not expensive but the hotel carpets were grim. The room was ok on the whole apart from a nasty stain on the carpet by the bed. In the morning the shower was not hot so had to have a cold . Not pleasant. .

On arrival you are greeted by a weed strewn entrance that sets the tone for this shabby hotel that is not the standard of other Novotels. Reception was efficient and staff pleasant which was true for all staff it’s only saving grace. Despite it being one of the best rooms it was dated with stained carpet and a stained chair. Lighting was good but the lack of usb points and very slow WiFi in the room showed its age. The bathroom had been up dated and had good quality amenities. The teas and coffee was the usual in a cheap hotel but the kettle leaked when pouring. The bed was ok but the pillows were slabs of foam. I asked for a soft pillow and was told we will see if housekeeping could find any which they couldn’t. The carpets in the bar and breakfast area are the dirtiest I have ever seen in any hotel and must be a health hazard. We had a bar snack that was very pleasant but unbelievably were told they had no white wine by the glass only a few bottles of Gavi that could only be sold by the bottle. Breakfast was the usual choice but the burnt pastries the first day should not have been put out. The second day they were fine and breakfast was actually quite good. This hotel is in urgent need of decent management and upgrading as it damages the reputation of its parent company. It may be cheap but that is not an excuse for such shoddiness.

Incredibly impressed with our overnight stay. Booked based on the price, and when we arrived we were seriously impressed with the value for money. Friendly staff (and always someone around to help), amazing quality breakfast, clean quiet rooms and overall a great experience. Would always choose a Novotel now over other budget options.

Old hotel, would need some renovation. Room not overly clean, hair and dust in corners, shelves etc. Very bad image quality of the tv. Spatious room and bathroom, nice shower. Breakfast ok
