We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the quality and variety of our breakfast, as well as the nearby children's playground. Regarding the baby cot, we are sorry for the misunderstanding. Your reservation indicated that you were travelling with a 2-year-old child and, as we try to do systematically in this type of situation, we anticipated that a baby cot might be needed and prepared the room accordingly. We understand, however, that it was not required and that its presence disrupted your arrangements, particularly as you had booked three rooms. As for the swimming pool, it is indeed heated. However, it is not covered at night, so its temperature can vary depending on the outdoor temperatures. We therefore understand that the water may have felt cooler during your stay and regret your disappointment. The staff were extremely professional and helpful. Great location and lovely breakfast. However the room was a little dirty and one of the plug sockets was exposed which is not very safe.

Check in was smooth, parking plentiful with onsite EV chargers, room was comfortable and we enjoyed 2 good nights sleep. Hotel is close to a large supermarket and other stores and fast food places in the area also.

Check-in in was fine, however the family room booked had a cot in which we had not requested and did not need! This caused distress with the youngest child and resulted in changing room allocation around between ourselves as we had booked three rooms. The swimming pool was cold, not heated as advertised which was a big disappointment. There was however a kids playground within walking distance . Breakfast was good with plenty of choice.

However, it is not covered at night, so its temperature can vary depending on the outdoor temperatures. We therefore understand that the water may have felt cooler during your stay and regret your disappointment. We decided to stay one night before staying with friends in Limoges and we were very impressed with the hotel location, facilities and the staff. The location is incredible with a beautiful view of the lake and it's lovely to take a walk around the lake. There are a couple of playgrounds for younger children and in the hotel there is the swimming pool plus a few activities in the foyer. The room itself was spotless and the mattress was the most comfortable I have ever slept on in a hotel and I usually need an orthopedic mattress. The bathroom has a good shower with different settings and the water pressure is very good. Be mindful that as the hotel group is environmentally aware, there is a 50% water usage setting on the shower taps, this lowers the water pressure. What I loved was the Rituals brand of shower gel, shampoo and hand wash. They smelt divine! The restaurant food was delicious and servings very generous. I would add that there aren't many vegetarian options as my child is vegetarian but I did ask for a cheese baguette and the chef kindly arranged a plate of cheese and salad and then we were given a basket of mini baguette-type rolls (thank you). The staff were very friendly and helpful especially Antoine in the restaurant - nothing was to much trouble. Constantin (hotel manager) was very welcoming and was viable around the hotel daily. My French is not fluent but every staff member did their absolute best and most spoke English and helped with my French understanding (thank you again as I was wanting to practise my French language). It would be great if there was a different lunch and evening menu as if we'd stayed two nights we probably would have eaten away from the restaurant for a change of menu. Also, it would be really good to have some options for lunch such as sandwiches. I'm already looking to book again next summer to stay with my child. Overall, incredible location, great facilities, friendly and helpful staff, attentive hotel manager and delicious food. The costs were also affordable (hence our family stay). My one request would be to have more variety in food options as the cheffing team are clearly very good, more vegetarian options but my compliments to the chefs as the Caesar salad was one of the best over ever had! I highly recommend this hotel and a visit to Limoges!

Reserved a table for dinner and arrived on time. No tables available but one was cleared for us. Sat for 25 minutes and no one came near our table to offer a drink or take an order. Left hotel in a taxi and ate in another restaurant.

Staff at reception were very helpful in amending our booking and making sure we had the right accommodation. The hotel was very busy during our stay and some of the restaurant and bar staff seemed overwhelmed and service was not always good. The restaurant manager was excellent and worked extremely hard to ensure we had a pleasant experience after a long day of travelling. We have stayed at the hotel before and enjoy its lovely location and the cleanliness of rooms. We will be back next year.

Unfortunately we were a bit underwhelmed. We booked this hotel specifically for the pool as it was just one night on a roadtrip. The pool had loose lining which is surprising to saw for a well known brand as Novotel and a 4* rated property. The dinner was basic to say the least. Not a lot of choices which is okay but most didn’t contain any vegetables or chance to add vegetables. Dinner service was chaotic to say the least with all service staff all over the place. Breakfast again was chaotic, having to wait for plates and cups, fruit was not in a state to offer (rotten grapes, black bananas). When going back to the room after breakfast, key card didn’t work (although before check out time), when asked at the reception there was no explanation but from the reaction this seems to have been a common thing. There is a kids room where a play table computer can use an update. It is so slow that playing is more frustrating than fun. Apart from that, very little other toys. Unfortunately, would not recommend.

Having stayed here multiple times over the last decade, sorry to say that things have definitely gone downhill. First time that we’ve had a negative experience with staff, with one member of the bar staff in particular being rude, dismissive and poorly trained. Pool was not clean, rooms not as clean as they should be, TV in room not working and the impression that no one was really that interested, which is in direct contrast to how it used to be. Even on checkout, the member of staff behind the desk could not even acknowledge our stay and ignored us as we dropped our key in. Sad to say, we’ll be finding another hotel to stay at for our future trips.
