The pool was very crowded and it appeared that day passes were being sold. The pool did not seem fully reserved for guests, as stated on the website. Further, management enabled incredibly rude and antagonistic behavior from a group of women at the pool. The women arrived at peak time during the day and were told by management that they could claim a lounge chair by the pool, which had towels there to save the space while my friend and I ate lunch. When we came back to our chairs, the women had kept my towel on the lounge chair and added their possessions. They then became very aggressive when asked to move their things despite them being misinformed by hotel management that they could claim the space. The reason given by management was that I had left no "personal belongings" and only my towels. I did not bring any additional clothing or something unimportant to leave. After a very loud public argument, the hotel staff again sided with the women. I have never had this kind of situation at a hotel before. If towels are left, the chair is claimed. The women should have understood that they cannot come at a peak time during the day and just take any chair they please. It was an incredible show of arrogance, emboldened by compliant staff. I will never stay at this hotel again. This experience ruined a nice weekend away and my friend and I no longer felt comfortable in the space.

The restaurant was mean. Basic dishes with undercooked pasta. Menu provided was not honored. If children eat pasta a side was not included. This was not marked in the menus. I complained and was told at reception that they were “alone” and could not help. The children’s play equipment is poorly maintained and needs to be cleaned at least. I booked this for the family friendliness but more effort is needed.

Dear Diarmaid, We are surprised by your review, as it does not reflect either the discussions we had with you during your stay or the facts as they occurred. During your meal, the only concern brought to our attention was the quantity of fries served to the children. At no point were undercooked pasta or a failure to provide the advertised menu mentioned. As soon as you raised the issue, an additional serving of fries was provided free of charge and without delay. Had any other concerns been brought to our attention at the time, we would naturally have done our best to address them in the same way. Regarding our children's facilities, they were installed recently and are maintained on a regular basis. Like any equipment used daily by young children, they may show normal signs of use, but this does not affect their cleanliness, functionality, or safety. We are also surprised by your comments regarding the condition of the premises. During your visit to the restaurant, your children drew directly on the tables with crayons, and those same crayons, along with packaging and other litter, were left on the floor and tables when you left. Our team cleaned everything up without making any remarks and continued to provide you with the same level of service and attention throughout your visit. We are always open to constructive feedback when it is justified and helps us improve our services. Totally inadequate sink with non-functioning plug. No flat pillows available, all too fat. But ... the best breakfast I've had in a French hotel.

Regarding the pillows, these are our standard hotel pillows and we understand that comfort preferences can vary from one guest to another. Other guests (groups) were staying and made a lot of noise until late. The sound insulation was disappointing. Also the main course in the restaurant (lamb) was too small -- two little lamb chops.

Breakfast was ok, I had expected more. The internet is too slow for 2026, it is really a bit amusing how slow it is. Capping the bandwidth of each device to 5mbps might be usable in 2005 but not today.
