There was a community festival in town, we were booked to check out Saturday morning, on enquiring about ability to get out by car, staff lack of knowledge re closed roads etc lead us to bring our check out one day earlier. One day our room door was left open! Most unsafectory.! Room not made up by 4 pm a y day, Phone not working - reported twice Air conditioning time set about six hours off - also reported.

With steps outside the hotel taking you straight to the shopping centre it was an ideal location for our stay. Plenty of food options near by , meals were available at the Novotel, we had breakfast twice, first morning ordered of the menu, this took a while as they seemed unsure who was ment to be serving us. The food was nice. Second morning we had the buffet, large range of food, no names on pots of food so had to lift all the lids to see what was inside. Not sure it was worth $42 each. Check in was easy and we arrived at 7am and were pleased to be able to check into our room straight away. Remote for the TV didn't work and this was quickly fixed after mentioned to reception. Room was a nice size with everything we needed.

no parking due to renovations, requiring additional cost for valet service to park at shopping centre which was not mentioned at time of booking. Beds were very hard and uncomfortable

Service was excellent but room was not thoroughly clean. There was a hair in the bathroom and bed sheet had a dark spot on it. Room was noisy through the night. Disappointing that no takeaway food offered.

After 45 minutes of unanswered calls on all extensions to make a same day booking & despite requesting during phone booking membership rate at book in was refused membership rate by the "apparent" shift manager Despite negotiations the individual refused to provide a reason for not honouring the membership, made no apologies and frankly by the rude demeanour appeared to bo on some form of vendetta or power trip.
