Stayed 3 nights for the Amsterdam Marathon. Hotel has free airport shuttle service that runs (mostly) on time. Bus station directly opposite with buses straight into city centre and Olympic stadium. Reception staff super friendly, room was pretty average, has shower gel, etc. Would be nice to have a kettle and a couple extra pillows.

The hotel was conveniently located, had a free shuttle bus to and from the airport and the lobby facilities were really good. Parts of the hotel are renovated and parts are not. Sadly we were in the unrenovated part. It was like staying in a 1980/1990s holiday camp room. Our "twin" room meant that the two single beds were just pushed together with two duvets. There was one old, thin and cheap pillow per bed. The matrresses had foam toppers but they would slide off in the night. There was no fridge but we were able to open a window and put some milk out on the window ledge which kept it cool. The TV would turn on sometimes but not always. We did ask for a room change but the hotel was sold out due to it being the marathon weekend. Our friends who also stayed there had the newer rooms with baths and fridges and more modern tvs that worked. Oh, and two pillows each. It was night and day difference. We all booked at the same time so there should have been no difference with our bookings.

Exploring the hotel is already fun.

Dear Tessa, We value your time and effort in providing feedback regarding your stay at our hotel. We are delighted that you found exploring our hotel so enjoyable. Our team puts a lot of care into creating a welcoming atmosphere, and it means a lot that you felt that during your stay. That said, we are sorry that finding the shuttle bus stop at Schiphol proved difficult. Our free shuttle departs from stop A9-13, just outside the airport to the right, and runs every 20 to 40 minutes without any reservation needed. I got exactly what I expected: perfect! Check-in took 30s, room was spotless and all I needed, and the bed (as always) super comfy. If you’re arriving late and departing early from Schipol, stay at the Ibis.

Got robbed in the foyer. Told me that under the law could not check CCTV without a police authority. I spent 5 hours chasing police so they could legally access the cameras only to realise they only have 2 cameras on the whole ground floor. Best thing is the free shuttle to and from the airport

Great hotel with 2 restaurants & a bar, close to the airport with shuttle, room was small but comfortable & the best AC I have seen in a hotel room in years - very straight forward to operate.

I had no working credit card on me because my wallet was stolen, and told all the staff upon checking in, but there was no option for me to pay with cash. I wish there could be more option for people who has to go through similar trouble.
