We enjoyed our short 2-night stay at Novotel Sydney Darling Harbour. The hotel is in a great location, close to the convention centre and the L1 light rail line, making it easy to get around Sydney. Extremely disappointing. The way we were treated was very disappointing. Constant harassment that we had check out a day before. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone..both the duty manager and and reservation manager were harrassing the guest with constant phone calls and email. We were not able to present ourself to the reception due to some personal reasons and they did not believe us. I have provided all the documents to support the reason.

Usual experience we have become used to. Beds are not so good though and need to be king size not queens. Bathrooms quite tatty, shower over the bath is really quite unsafe, they desperately need shower mixers.

The hotel was situated perfectly within CBD and had lovely accommodating staff. We were greeted with a lovely card and complimentary cake for my husband who was celebrating his birthday which was a lovely gesture. Kudos especially to the concierge and restaurant teams for making sure our stay with our baby was comfortable.
The reasons why we couldn’t give a 10 star review was because 1) the kettle in our room was filthy and had lots of debris in it, but thankfully they were able to change it right away after we called reception, and 2) when we called reception to request a portacot after a long day, the response handed to us was “well we can do that, but it’s also 11pm.” While we understand the hotel may not be able to provide portacots on request, we feel like it could have been relayed in a better manner than this, as the comment made us feel like we were inconveniencing reception.
All in all though, the stay was lovely, so I’d still recommend Novotel to friends especially business conference goers. Just maybe not to people travelling with babies.

Yash on reception gave us a warm welcome and we were allocated a lovely room. The hotel is is a fantastic location. We identified cleaning issues on day one with dirty carpets in the hallways outside our room and old food and crockery left in the hallways. I raised this four times during our stay and on my last day brought the same dirty crockery down to reception myself to illustrate how the issue was still not resolved. The standard of cleanliness in the room was well below usual Accor standards I experience as a platinum member and I raised this issue everyday with different members of staff on reception but it remained unresolved until we left.

We have stayed at Novotel Darling Harbour several times now and each time we have been very pleased with the extremely high standard of service, cleanliness, meals, space and facilities. The restaurant, The Ternary, is exceptional and well worth booking for an evening meal. The views from the rooms are beautiful. We would certainly recommend Novotel to anyone looking for a great stay.

Always a lovely stay. Great to be upgraded with a window looking at the city. Bed comfortable, staff friendly, restaurant fantastic. We have stayed a number of times and The Trenery for dinner never disappoints. We had the tasting menu and it was delicious. We will be back!

Stayed for just one night, but are planning to come back for more of a staycation! Greta rooms, wonderful and helpful staff and one of the best buffet breakfasts we have been to. Kids loved the nutella pump!
