To the General Manager, Mercure Caroline Springs, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding repeated check-in issues at your hotel, specifically involving a staff member named Abram. This is now the third time we have experienced an unnecessary problem during check-in. In this most recent instance, my son, Ash D., was the guest staying. I made the booking and clearly noted on the reservation that Ash D. was the occupant. When Ash arrived to check in, Abram again created an issue when Ash attempted to pay using my card, despite the fact that I had already completed and submitted the required credit card authorisation form approving its use. Beyond the process failure, Abram’s conduct was unacceptable. He was rude and confrontational on the phone, which escalated the situation. While I acknowledge that I swore during the call, Abram’s response was completely unprofessional. He stated words to the effect of: “I don’t care if you’re a Diamond member, I’ll report you to Accor.” That is not an appropriate way to speak to any guest under any circumstance. We have stayed at Mercure Caroline Springs and across the Accor network for years and have never encountered repeated issues of this nature. A staff member behaving this way will deter guests and damage your reputation. I expect this matter to be investigated and addressed promptly. At a minimum, I require: Written confirmation that your team will correctly follow the credit card authorisation process when a form is on file, to prevent further disruption at check-in. Confirmation that Abram’s behaviour and approach to guests will be formally addressed by management. A response outlining what corrective action will be taken to ensure this does not recur. This has happened three times now. It should not happen again.

I have stayed multiply times for work and eat at the restaurant but this time everytime I ate at the restaurant the service was slow and staff didn't want to help, food was cool I had the lamb shake and it was cold to the touch. The room fine but at night every night I woke up to cars and screaming outside.

Very reasonable prices. Lots of parking spaces, very large room, king sized bed. Balcony overlooks the lake - however room service doesn't open before 5.00pm - how disappointing and ridiculous. For some unknown reason we avoided eating at the main restaurant, instead we ate at the bar. We really enjoyed the Pulled Pork Tacos and the Sweet Potato Fries at the Miss Caroline bar. On the other hand, the Saloumi board was a great disappointment - everything WRAPPED and served in a cardboard box, a packet of crackers, two cheeses, prosciutto in a packet that could not be opened, NO Salami or Pickled Vegetables, so I am not sure exactly what we got. The outside entertainment was excellent. HINT Ask for room near the lifts and car park.
