We stayed in a Mercure in Budapest and liked it so much we decided to stay in a Mercure in Tokyo and it did not disappoint! The style of the hotel is nice, rooms are comfortable and spacious, and the breakfast buffet is magnificent! I highly recommend you give them a try.

This was a very nice hotel. Room was spacious (especially by Japanese standards), bed was very comfortable, bathroom very, very nice. My quibbles were small - halls are a bit dark, furniture is low (not unusual in Japan), and I missed the first shuttle I was planning to take to the airport because I did not hear an announcement or where to meet (not a problem, I still had hours before my flight when taking the next shuttle.). The room had a fridge but not a microwave, again not unusual for Japan. Not a whole lot around the neighborhood, but walking a bit found some more interesting parts of the "real" Japan. I would willingly stay here again.

Hotel Stay Rating: 5/5 – Would stay again. I arrived in Tokyo after midnight following a long flight, which is usually the point where a hotel experience can go either way. At Mercure Haneda Airport it went the right way from the very first minute. Check-in I was greeted at reception by Temi (apologies if I've misspelled the name) and a female colleague, both of whom had started their shift. It was a genuine relief to be able to speak in English at that hour, and they handled everything smoothly and warmly. I felt well looked after rather than processed. I'll say this plainly: the check-in experience accounts for roughly a third of how I judge a hotel. It sets the tone for the entire stay and largely decides whether I'll return. Based on this one, I will. The Room and the Welcome When I walked into my room, there was a refreshment and snack waiting, along with a handwritten welcome card from Haruhiro Hanasaki (E.A. Manager). After a late arrival and a long day of travel, that small gesture landed exactly as intended. I pay attention to the little details, and in my experience a little thought goes a very long way, it's the reason I'm taking the time to write this review at all. Recognition like this is fairly common across competitor loyalty programmes such as Marriott Bonvoy, so it's not that it was unexpected in the industry, but rather it's that it was done thoughtfully and sincerely here, and I appreciated being recognised as a guest rather than a room number. Breakfast Breakfast downstairs was very good. The staff were friendly and attentive, in particular the young lady who greeted me on arrival and later cleared my plates. Service was quiet and efficient, which is exactly what you want in the morning. Check-out Check-out was effortless. No waiting, no complications, just a quick and pleasant end to the stay. The efficiency and the overall client experience were consistent from arrival to departure. Final Thoughts I don't normally make time to leave feedback unless a hotel has gone above and beyond, and this one did, especially given the circumstances of a late check-in after a long flight. The welcome I received was the deciding factor in making my time in Tokyo better than it would otherwise have been. Thank you to Temi, the reception team, the breakfast staff, and Mr Hanasaki. I'll be back.

The location is good near Haneda airport and Otoori train station. The hotel is walking distance to the train station. The room is clean, enough space for twin bed. They serve necessary variety breakfast from egg, salad, main menu. They also provide shuttle bus to Haneda airport.

We needed a place to stay before an early birthday flight to Osaka, and the team at Mercure Tokyo Haneda Airport made sure our quick visit was wonderful. We arrived two hours ahead of the standard 3:00 PM check-in and were gladly accommodated early. On top of that, we received a room upgrade complete with a fully stocked complimentary mini-bar, a thoughtful welcome amenity, a birthday card, and special local snacks. Overall, an excellent stay and a fantastic start to the trip.
