Hotel was perfectly located on the water with many restaurants and sites within walking distance. Our suite was very comfortable with an entry area between the bedroom and bathroom. Hotel was perfectly located on the water with many restaurants and sites within walking distance. Our suite was very comfortable with an entry area between the bedroom and bathroom. Customer Service and housekeeping took care of all of our needs, providing requested items within minutes and assisting with restaurants nearby. Loved the Fairmont!

It was great but the jacuzzi shower at room 129 is a bit dirty

The hotel was quite lovely and the staff were cordial. There was one odd thing. We closed our bathroom door so we could leave a night light on. Each morning there was a strong odor in our bathroom. I thought it smelled like a gas leak and my husband (a chemist) thought it smelled like hydrogen sulfide. It was very strong in the morning, but when we left our bathroom door open it faded through the day.

I stayed at the Montreux Palace for business and had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. From the very friendly and efficient check-in to the warm welcoming at the Spa, I have only experienced 5 stars service. The room was very comfortable and clean and the view breathtaking. The only negative point would be the waiting time to be seated at beakfast. There were a few big groups that went all at the same time to take breakfast but the service was quick dispite the rush.

We had a disappointing experience having stayed at the Victoria Jungfrau the few nights before. And before that Grace Hotel in St Moritz. We found the Fairmont NOT to be of the same standard. The room was terribly tiny. The decor not impressive with laminate flooring, beds rolled away from the wall when you lent against the bed head to watch television and you had to keep getting out and pushing the bed back. It felt as though we were in the servants quarters so high up in the hotel. Not a pleasant experience and we curtailed our trip as a result.

Years ago, I visited Montreux and was dazzled by the Fairmont Le Montreux Palace; I told myself that when I had the opportunity to return, I would stay there because it was so beautiful. And when I finally had this opportunity, I was NOT disappointed! Our room was lovely, spacious, well appointed, and we especially appreciated our balcony with views of the lake. Staff was kind and efficient. About the only 'negative' I can cite is that the (enormously large) pool was chilly, and the outside pool even more so! But we still swam and enjoyed the indoor pool. Lovely spa facilities!! Breakfast was wonderful with a large assortment on the buffet and options to be prepared directly for us. All in all, a splendid stay!
