The room was very confortable and the breakfast was exceptional. However, the facilities in the areas surrounding the hotel need renovation. And security also needs improvement. Anyone can access the hotel elevators without keys, even if they are not staying there. Finally, we had an unforeseen problem: our flight was canceled at the last minute, and we lost the first night at the hotel, which was already paid for. The hotel didn't even bother to contact us and didn't offer a refund for the first night, even after I explained that the flight was canceled at the last minute due to an unexpected problem with the plane. Not even a partial refund from the hotel was offered. We paid for two nights, but only used one.

As always, we greatly enjoy staying at the Montreux Palace. The overall facility, restaurants, and service are exceptional. However we were greatly disappointed in our room this time. It was unbelievably small. When first seeing the room, I then approached the front desk to request a larger room. However there was someone in front of me speaking with the reception, complaining of the same issue, with no success. I would appreciate if someone could please let me know the square footage of my room.
