We arrived early because of a change on our flight, the hotel let us leave our luggage so we could go and get lunch, they contacted us when our room was ready. All of the staff were incredibly helpful, and gave us service with a smile every moment of our stay. The breakfast options were vast and catered for any culinary desire and the food was excellent

I have been a loyal Accor ALL member for about four years, and this was my first stay at Grand Mercure Malang. I came with my wife, who is heavily pregnant, to celebrate her birthday, so naturally my expectations were quite high given the Grand Mercure brand and my generally positive experiences with other Accor properties. Unfortunately, during our 3-night stay (26–29 February), we experienced several disappointing issues: 1. Guest Experience communication before arrival I contacted Guest Experience via WhatsApp to request a few small arrangements considering my wife’s condition and her birthday surprise. The responses were slow, and when one request could not be accommodated (regarding redeeming my birthday cake voucher), the tone felt unfriendly and lacking empathy. 2. No concierge/bellboy upon arrival When we arrived on the night of 26 February, there was no concierge or bellboy at the entrance. My pregnant wife and I had to unload our luggage ourselves until I went inside to the reception to ask for assistance. 3. Incorrect information from Front Office I booked two nights using Accor Stay Plus benefits (26–28 February), with one paid night that included breakfast. The receptionist informed me that breakfast was only included once, on 27 February morning. However, on 28 February, the restaurant staff confirmed that breakfast was actually included for both nights. This clearly indicates inaccurate information from the Front Office. 4. Miscommunication during stay extension I extended one more night via the Accor app. On the morning of 28 February, Guest Experience contacted me via WhatsApp to confirm, and I replied that I wished to stay in the same room. There was no further response. I also requested housekeeping to clean my room, but it was not done. At 11 AM, the Front Office called again to reconfirm my extension as if no prior communication had happened. Only after that did a staff member come up with a new key and request payment for the extra night. This shows a clear lack of coordination between Guest Experience, Front Office, and Housekeeping. As a long-time Accor ALL member, I found this experience far below the hospitality standards I usually associate with Accor, especially for a Grand Mercure property. We did not feel any sense of care or special attention during our stay.

The hotel provided many kids activities and nice pool (but it is not heated by the time im arrived at hotel), hotel forgot the welcome amenities in room, nice spread of breakfast buffet, nice afternoon tea on sky lounge. Overall satisfied stay

i choose this hotel because the hot water pool, but at the date we arrive the hot water pool is not hot, because of the maintenance, i hope next time we still have the hot water pool.
