We normally stay at the Intercontinental Hotel which is just across the road. Unfortunately it is looking (and feeling) a bit tired. Having had a great experience at the MGallery property in Strasbourg, the Playford was an obvious choice. It was the perfect stay for us - great location, great staff, great restaurant and bar - there was nothing not to like.

Hotel was booked by my company, for our conference, held at the venue. Fantastic food, fantastic staff, beautiful venue. The only issue, and I mentioned this on check out, was the bed. One side (standing in front of bed, the right side) had started to collapse, and the other side was lumpy but at least better. Other than that, fantastic stay.

The only short fall for me was that the bar staff gave a bive that they had to look as if they where happy to be there. I though it was just one menber but as the days progressed all bar staff come accross that way. I was there with hour board of Directors (4 total) and they all felt thesame way. This is the reason for the 9 and not 10. I would not hesitate to recomend and or stay there again thought.

As explained above. My husband had to be pushed outside around the hotel to get to bar or pushed through the kitchen to get to dining room. Totally unacceptable, even though we stayed in an accessible room.
