A comfortable, clean and good-value (for the area) hotel that's perfectly suitable for a short stay. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, the location is good with the station just a short walk away, and the bus to Ascona stops right outside. Breakfast was perfectly OK for a budget hotel. The décor wasn't really to my taste (I'm not convinced anyone needs a backlit Elvis above the bed!), but that's a matter of personal preference rather than a criticism. The only disappointment was that, despite being an Accor Gold member and the hotel not appearing to be full, I wasn't offered a room upgrade, which is one of the advertised membership benefits. It didn't spoil my stay, but it was a missed opportunity to recognise loyal guests.
