I stayed for a short "workation" - working from the hotel with a very fast Internet connection, good light and ample power plugs and a USB power connect in the right place at the table to then enjoy the good location 5' from lake promende, bus stops (direct bus to city, to SBB rail station and to Funicolare Monte Bre, Funicolare San Salvatore is right next to hotel). Hotel is 7 years old, but very well maintained - everything looks and feels quite new. Mattresses excellent, Pillows unfortunately of rather poor quality, very good blind-out curtains and excellent noise insulation (incl. the usually outstanding Accor-type of doors that really keep noise from corridors completely out). Breakfast was good, with really friendly and fast staff - we had to book "slots" for breakfast to avoid overcrowding, but I woke up early and came a bit early: no issue, was greeted with a smile and the breakfast team was truly speeding to serve everyone fast depite a busy morning. And while obviously the restaurant was closed, the hotel did offer limited room service (did not try), but also pointed out two good local food delivery companies and happily accepted deliveries. Parking is easy, hotel garage is 20 CHF per 24 hours, with direct access to reception / rooms Very good stay, being upgraded my room even had a limited lake view. I will be back when in Lugano, thank you to the team for a very pleasant stay.

Happy staying at the Hotel with our family. It was quite and relaxed despite the fact that of the corona situation. With the exception of the breakfast the hotel was serving all 2 hotels (Novotel, Ibis and not sure for Ibis budget) that felt crowed at some point I have nothing negative. Staff was very helpful with quick check -in and out, nice rooms that felt warm and new and of course at a nice location. For sure I would stay again once back in Lugano.

Reason to choose this hotel was recession like family friendly. I didn’t get how this was marked in this way. At the hotel is one corner, there children could play, type size 3x3m. There is no other place for the children. Reception Is one common reception for the Novotel, IBIS and IBIS budget. It is having 2x elevators, only one of them is having possibility to reach a garage. Often waiting time is to long, vary common to wait 5min during check in/checkout time. Rooms To be honest to not see any different between all three options. in case you planned to stay at this hotel, I would select the cheapest one. We har a room in part belonging Novotel for 2x adults and 2x children, had extremely limited free space. Rooms are clean. Dinner 2x persons which are on the reception are even serving the restaurant. Food is coming as positioned and will be warmed up on request. In case of needed something additional you will be disappointed. No parmesan cheese, no extra tomato sos etc..

The restaurant is closed since November 2020 and will reopen latest first of April, reason why we offer other possibilities such as selected Restaurant bring services and little convenance snacks from the hotel. The rooms are very different between the 3 Hotels and the receptions are well separated nevertheless in this very difficult situation we are constrained to manage differently. Very positive experience. Located 5 min walk to the lake and about half hour walk to the city centre. With the free Ticino Card which hotel provided we didn't have to walk anywhere unless we wanted. The bus stop is almost right outside the hotel. Breakfast buffet offered everything we needed. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The only negative is the that there is no proper wall between the shower and the room. There is a switch in the shower which covers the window with some sort of a film to provide the privacy in the shower. If you want to go to the bathroom at night and you want to switch on the bathroom light, the whole room will lit up as well. Despite the weird shower window situation, I would definitely book this hotel again.

We stayed just for one night. The lounge area was nice and clean. Rooms too but a bit small for 4 people. Breakfast, small selection but it was available it was also good and the location is great.

I stayed a week ago and everything was open however this time you could not get a drink at the bar in the evening. This seems strange when in the morning the restaurant area was very busy.

The restaurant and Bar is closed as we are in our Low season until end of March 2021 nevertheless we have choose for all our guets some very cosy restaurants with terrasse in our naiberhood less than 200 walking meters as the request is low during this time. The COVID-19 rools as you surely know are different from region to region and country to country and unfurtunetly there is not one rool for all toghter as this will simplified a lot for all parts. The ones we implemented are certified by Hotelleriesuisse, controlled by the Canton of Ticino and the Police deparment of Paradiso Lugano. The lady at the reception only advertise you to put your mask as request by Law of our Canton. The room was not great quality, with stains on the chairs and sofa. We were interrupted twice by housekeeping, who came into the room without knocking. There was no stairwell to use, and due to COVID-19, everyone had to use separate elevators, so there was a queue for 10-20 minutes even to go up or down a single floor.

Great staff and good hotel - like the room and breakfast was excellent - exactly what I am expecting at Novotel. However, and despite the fact I gave my loyalty number while booking the hotel, it was not in the system when I arrived in Lugano, and apparently this is still missing in the system...this is not the first time and American hotel groups are much more efficient,., you have to fix that

We have been in this hotel for a repeated time. The staff was very friendly and motivated as usual in that hotel. It's always a pleasure to be there. The breakfast was also very good, there was a big Variety of exquisite dishes. For one time we also had dinner there, what was also excellent. For that time, unfortunately there were some really strange guests. Some were with their dogs in the hotel. Incredible, but true. During the night we wake up because some dogs were barking. This noise came definetely from inside the hotel. We also have seen a lady with two dirty dogs Walking into the lobby and the elevator. There they jolted. This lady also didn't care about the current distance rules because of COVID-19. This is totally unsanitary and the hotel shouldn't allow such people with dogs. There was anyway a big noise almost each night. Obviously some people celebrated a party with loud music. It's incomprehensible why nobody from the hotel staff stopped this noise. Further, similar situation in the pool area. We like the pool very much. Though there is limited space there with not many seats. For that time, very often there were people hanging round in the pool area, who neither swim, nor enjoy the sun, just occupied the seats, made selfies for a long time. In addition there was a Family, that didn't care about rules and let their Little girl, only wearing nappy, into the pool! That happened at least two times. Needless to say, that other guests suddenly left the pool afterwards. Something like that is inacceptable and the hotel staff should intervene in such situations.

Our staff is 24 hours, 7 days a week at your service also during the night and will be able to handle any situation properly. We are a dog friendly hotel and yes, it happens that at the collar with their human friend, there are dogs sometimes here. Our pool area is divided between deck chairs by the pool and sofas and armchair on the other side, for those, who just want to be outside enjoying some fresh air with fresh cocktails prepared by our bar keepers. I am sure that this feedback will serve as an encouragement to all of our staff as we strive to continuously improve the quality of our services. The staff (starting from reception and with the catering staff) were super friendly and helpful. The location is good and there is a swimming pool, which was ok. The breakfast was also good with a tasty cappuccino. Staff at the restaurant was very helpful and nice! The room was ok, but it would be good to have some glasses for toothbrushes and i would expect bathrobes in a 4 star hotel. I am just comparing with other Novotel hotels and other 4 star hotels i have stayed in different parts of the world. The kettle area was a bit dusty though.

We asked for an early check in, (before 12:00) which didn’t happen. No welcome drink. Restaurant menu was basic.

Welcome Drink Our Receptionist gives you the vouchers with the room keys for the drinks, maybe you just miss to give them at the bar. We notified that on your bill and cancel the drinks the same day of your check-out.
