Confusing reservation/billing system

This hotel's reservation system is strange. After booking and providing my credit card information on the Accor website (parent company for ibis hotels), I received what looked like a standard confirmation email from Accor saying my "reservation is confirmed". However, three weeks later, I received several emails from ibis One Central Hotel with the header "Payment Required" that asked me to click and make payment! It took several phone calls to Dubai to verify that the email was genuine, etc. Also, upon my checking out, the hotel's receipt was not clear. The hotel itself is conveniently located with most staff members friendly and helpful. The room is a bit compact but could use a bit of updating.
