I want to place my highest praise and thanks to the manger who was on duty at the hotel (Fairmont Dubai in the financial district) upon my arrival in the late evening of the 15th of July. I had experienced an absolutely terrible travel day that day prior to entering the hotel. The manager (I cannot remember his name but he was tall with dark hair) did his utmost to provide me comfort and hospitality. I truly appreciate his and all of the staff's efforts but I particularly wanted to recognize him. As it so happened, all turned out well but I was comforted to know that I had chosen a hotel with customer care of obvious concern. Thank you again!! Sincerely, James C.

The direction to the parking/valet is awful! It’s so confusing and quit infuriating to be honest - needs better signage and direction from concierge staff. The receptionist was super slow during the check in process, not the friendliest either! Beautiful scent in the lobby area, but a tad too strong as it gave me a headache. When I finally got up to the room, I was given a room with twin beds, I had specifically reserved a king bed - I called reception immediately to inform them, the receptionist had the audacity to ask me, “are you sure it’s twin beds” - which I found quite rude and got pretty upset, surely this could be seen on the system, further more I have a solid hotel background so I can surely tell the difference. The shower would not drain after my friend used the shower, left our bathroom flooded. We had called for maintenance, an inconvenience given I had wait till was fixed to take a shower. Breakfast - set menu, I requested for the English breakfast with scrambled eggs and toast - Toast arrived about 10 mins before the actual plate of food. No one wants cold toast with their main meal. The scrambled eggs was half cooked, we had returned the plate for the eggs to be properly cooked, however they had only taken the bowl of eggs back and not the entire plate of food - so food was cold by the time we got our eggs back, nor were we offered to have our food warmed up again. Also, the menu included baked beans which was not even given to us. It’s a pretty hotel, nice decor etc but needles to say, I won’t be returning nor will my friends given this experience. The staff require more training, to be a bit more attentive, friendly and courteous. I think the only staff member we had a good encounter with, was the porter, he was humble and friendly.

it was the most stress and horabel stay ever. first they cancel my suite before 3 days of arrival because someone pay more and they offer me 2 smaller suite I Sayeed ok because I have good relation with hotel when I reach the suite it was shocking the Air-conditions was not working will and they can't fix it the hose keeping was bad they don't clean the room will the shower was not working and bath room chair also ( all these not fixed until I leave after 10 days)!!!! all my team having problem at the rooms we have more than 35 rooms and they trat us like sheet ( the management of the hotel ) our reservation by name of THIMAR AlJAZIRAH and Strumann

We had a exhibition at the DWTC and in summer the hotel is very well located. Everything was fine just the following things could be improved: Breakfast Staff sometimes was a bit overwhelmed and not as quick but always friendly. The rooms smelled "smoky" as an non smoker this was not so nice. The rooms are still a bit old fashioned style, but as I heard they will be refurbished soon. Other than that the experience was nice! Very organised meeting facility manager.

All went good till the moment I asked to extend only one day as my flight postponed. All what I heard is the word ‘sorry’ even without a single trial to check their screens; suddenly deaf and can’t hear my request! Even if rooms were not available, they should not act like this. I like the hotel, and this was not my first time. Otherwise, all good.
