TERRIBLE SERVICE. 1/10 on the bar/ resturant. 4/10 on high end restaurant. Terrible. People not helpfull. nobody knows where things are. Nobody know how to use the tablet. Is reservation mandatory? Are table reserved? Witsnessed MULTIPLE people leaving for lack of service.

Quiet and peaceful location surrounded by nature. Rooms are far too small (carpet size, ceiling), decoration a bit overdone with wall panelling and flooring of same color, sliding door with large handles with hospital look and feel, weird having books next to the ceiling... The worst being the level of service and untrained yet smiling staff. Last breakfast more than average and the lift was not working reaching the 3rd floor. Indeed not a great experience. Not great value for money.

An excellent stay in a fully renovated and enhanced hotel , we have visited this hotel for over forty years periodically but the complete renovation has improved the overall feeling when you arrive and continues with the how well you are looked after during your stay, and of course the location as always is superb.

Recently re-opened as an MGallery, this hotel has an absolutely stunning location, and the total upgrade was evident to see throughout. However, the level of service and professionalism from most of the staff that one might expect in a 5* hotel did not match the hotel itself. Whether they have opened too soon, and the staff have not been trained, or whether there is an issue with recruitment, or simply poor management, but the service was at best sloppy and at times rude. From the initial welcome as we approached the hotel which was random, not professional and told to leave our cases in the car; to some of the reception staff, who promised to look at an upgrade and never got back to us; to the bar staff, who told us, with a shrug of their shoulders and a sigh, to sit down at a table and wait to be served, as we should not be near the bar. The above are just small examples, but when staying at a 5* hotel, the attitude of the staff must be warm, welcoming, and nothing to much trouble. If you are not put off with such poor service, then this is a beautiful place, but personally I would give it another year to sort itself out before returning. Two exceptions to the above staff - Leonard on reception was a star and couldn't do enough to help us, once he was involved. And Oliver, our seasoned and well travelled porter, again helpful and professional.

We had a 2 night stay to celebrate our 30th anniversary. The hotel staff were so welcoming from the moment we arrived - including the transfer from the carpark to the reception. The hotel had been open for only 15 days and the decor and ambience highlighted the excellent renovation of the property - everything smelt clean and fresh! The view from the ocean view room is stunning and the room decor reflects an elegant air of 'the Hamptons'. The balcony was a place for relaxation and reflection.
