Welcome to the ibis Styles Marennes Oleron in Marennes, a warm and family-friendly hotel. Renovated in 2025, we offer large, comfortable and air-conditioned rooms over 215 sq.ft. Enjoy our swimming pool in the summer, a welcoming terrace with bar open till 10pm and restaurant with home-cooked meals, including local signature dishes. Reception is open till 10pm, with late check-in available on request.

We are 5 minutes from fine sandy beaches, halfway between the Marennes-Oléron oyster farms and the wild coast of Pays Royannais. The ports of La Rochelle, Rochefort, Royan are under 45 mins away oyster beds, Marennes beach, Palmyre zoo, Hermione, the Royal Ropery, La Rochelle aquarium and Ile de Ré.

Whilst visible from the bypass, it is a little complicated to get to. Though the signs are there to help. The exterior looks like it needs a spruce up and the parking lot did get very busy. The interior is very nice though. The room and bed was very comfortable. The shower does not have a curtain, so a little care is required to not drench the bathroom floor. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice.

The hotel was looking very shabby on arrival, stained paintwork, overgrown bushes, pool area untidy and uninviting. The bathroom drains smelled and there was a bloodstain on a pillowcase. The manager seemed to be the only person with customer facing roles and trying desperately to achieve them but not successfully. The view from the dining/breakfast room was of broken furniture on in a back yard.

Un incident à déplorer : au moment de se coucher le drap de dessus taché…et pas qu’un peu, nous nous en sommes rendus compte trop tard, à 22:00 il n’y a plus de personnel dans l’hôtel jusqu’au lendemain matin. Salle d’eau un peu vieillotte, joints et miroir abîmés, douche sans porte, Obligatoire faire attention à ne pas tout inonder. Point positif, bien que l’horaire soit un peu contraignant lorsqu’on est en vacances : Petit déjeuner correspondant bien aux critères Ibis Style, jus d’oranges fraîches pressées, jambon, fromage, fromage blanc, oeufs à cuire et toutes les fournitures d’un petit déjeuner continental habituel (céréales, viennoiseries, pain, fruits, etc…)
