We chose the hotel for its great location and amenities, but had not expected to be woken by what must have been a rat under the refrigerator waking myself and husband believing someone was breaking into the room.

Found the rooms extremely small. Bathroom lights were automatic and if you had to get up during the night took far too long to go out (about 10-15 minutes) and the noise from fan was too loud. Went to the Poolhouse Bar & Kitchen and was very disappointed. Food was extremely slow in coming out and then we had to remind them about one missing dish. When ordering staff were serving food or just standing but no-one to take orders at the bar until we asked. There was a queue waiting behind us. Also didn't have the wine we wanted either so had to change. Overall for the cost both for the room and the meal we had it was extremely disappointing.
