After arriving and walking to our room I was hit by a rock thrown by an indigenous child. The following morning our room was filled by cigarette smoke and reception said they can't do anything. We tried to get breakfast at the splash Cafe but unable to get a seat because the indigenous people were passed out on the chairs and lounge.

I was hoping to get some rest before my 6 AM flight. I traveled from Katherine to Darwin after doing 10 days straight work. As it turned out, I might has had more rest if I stayed in Katherine and drove to the airport at 1AM. The room they put me on had plumbing issues. There was loud thud every 15 seconds which I initially thought was coming from the room next door. Then after two calls at the front desk, they finally moved me to a different room. Turned out, the room they were moving me into was occupied! They then moved me to a different hotel. By now it was already past two AM. I had to get ready for my early flight by 4. Come check out time, I was greeted by an obnoxious front desk person. He could not find my name so he wanted me to spell it out which I did. I told him I had a $50 deposit and he could just charge my dinner from that. He said …” can’t you see I’m still checking?” I said I had to go cause I still had to drop my hire car off and check in. It was already 10 to 5 AM by this time. Please Ibis…get your pipes checked! If there’s noises happening, it’s a disaster waiting to happen! Also, I feel your front desk needs more training in terms of “hospitality “.

Convenient location. Nice lap pool. But I could not find my room. First, it was difficult to find as instructions had not been clear, the signage is highly inadequate in fact I couldn't read the signs at all as they were small and unreadable as they were no lights. I was walking around and around with my luggage, in the dark. BY luck some staff members arrived in a cart and showed me the way. My room was accessibile via a corridor and there was no way I could find out this was where I was supposed to go. Have I been a younger woman with less travel experience it could have been scary. There was hardly no food available and a guest walked in a staff member when I was there to return his meal which he said was of too poor quality to eat (cold chips etc..)

It was a great experience. The staff was very friendly, and the location is very close to the airport. There is also a pickup service. The only downside is that I could not figure out how to turn off the bathroom light (it seems to be motion-controlled, but the censor seems a bit stuck in my room)
