Had my personal cheese knife taken from my room by house keeping, and they would not/could not return it. the car park and tickets were very inconvenient. The walk from the hotel to my car wasn't short. It rained heavily and all my stuff got soaked.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. Check in was easy, parking was easy, and checkout was easy. The breakfast buffet was so good. I absolutely loved swimming in that fabulous pool, even though it was a bit of a rainy weekend, it was great. The room was clean and comfortable. The only thing that was bad was the smell of our room - previous people had been smokers and the room stank. It clung to everything, the room needed airing and deodorising. Thank you 😊

Twas really a great staycation we had at the Novotel Darwin Airport. The rooms are spacious and clean with complete necessities. Love the pool and gym amenities. We also enjoyed the kingpin vouchers. Drinking water was available at the lobby and restaurants. Overall we enjoyed and loved our experience.

We loved it, the pool area is fantastic, rooms were nice, great atmosphere. The food and service at the new pool bar restaurant wasn’t the best, had to wait over an hour a half for 3 kids cheese burgers. Everyone else’s food came out in separately. The food could have been so much better. But overall we had a great time.

On arrival, we were put into room 614, that had not been cleaned and smelled of mould. Housekeeping came to clean it and we then discovered a continuous steam of water down the wall that was soaking the living room carpet. It took a whole day for us to be moved into another room, effectively ruining the only full day of our short stay as we had to be near the phone for updates on another room, pack up the whole family and move. Upon leaving the room 614, a housekeeper was waiting to prepare it for the next guests. She mentioned that she had reported this leak to maintenance a week prior but they still continued to place guests there. There is clearly a mould issue in this room caused by the leak, as indicated by the smell. By continuing to use this room for guests, Novotel is exposing customers to unacceptable health and safety risk for their own profit. We were offered a measly $40 credit as compensation, which was insufficient for the inconvenience and health and safety risk we were exposed to. The next room we were moved to was better, but still in poor repair, with one of the aircon covers broken and hanging off, and exposed nail sockets in the walls. This is basic maintenance that guests should expect be in order when paying for hotel accommodation. The saving grace of this hotel is the pool. We would discourage anyone seeking accommodation in Darwin from staying at the Novotel, given our experience.
