Loved the foyer. Rooms and pool area could do with an update

No hot water in our room so luke warm to cold showers daily, did not matter if it was morning or evening water was still not heating. If water does not heat to a certain temperature this is a health hazard for legionella bacteria growth. Had to boil the kettle to fill bathroom sink to have hot water to wash face. Bathroom extractor fan not working yet a door card threatened $1200 fine if we set off smoke alarms by shower steam. Window seat area dirty with yellow stains on top of net curtain & rotted out area in ceiling of window seat. Stains on carpet in room. No service to take our order in restaurant for dinner, had to walk to bar area to place order then walk back to restaurant, thankfully our meals were bought to us when they were ready. Lobby toilets by pool had multiple cracked tiles & even missing tiles. Also went to check out pool area only for the door to lock behind us & the phone outside not working nor would our room key card work to let us back in. Luckily we had a cellphone on us to phone reception. Musty damp smell throughout atrium levels. Dirty fabric chairs & worn out round table tops in bar area that need revarnishing - a potential health hazard in their current state in humid environment being a breeding ground for germs. All maintenance issues directly relating to the room were reported to reception.

I am very sorry to hear that your experience did not meet expectations and sincerely appreciate you bringing these matters to our attention. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience caused by the hot water issue in your room. We understand how important this is for guest comfort and hygiene, and your concerns have been shared with our maintenance team for urgent review. We also regret the issues you encountered with the bathroom extractor fan, the cleanliness concerns in the room, and the condition of certain areas such as the carpet, window seat, and ceiling. This is certainly not the standard we aim to provide. Regarding the restaurant service, during the wet season our restaurant operates buffet breakfast only. For lunch and dinner, food and beverage service is available through the bar, and guests are welcome to place their order there and enjoy their meals either in the bar area or seated in the restaurant. However, we apologise if this was not clearly communicated during your visit and for any inconvenience this may have caused. Additionally, I apologise for the difficulties you experienced in the pool area with the door locked and the phone not working. Your feedback regarding the lobby toilets, bar furniture condition, and the musty smell in the atrium has also been noted and shared with the relevant teams for review and improvement. We truly appreciate you reporting the maintenance issues to reception during your stay, as this allows our team to investigate and take the necessary corrective actions. Once again, I am very sorry that your stay did not reflect the level of comfort and service we strive to deliver. Check and check out was very easy and wonderful and friendly staff. Room was nice and was in a good location close to shops, restaurants and attractions.

Your staff are excellent, however, I didn't see one Australian. They all went out of their way to help when asked. However, the rooms are tired, beds uncomfortable and the food was average at best. Won't return.
