Mostly enjoyable except for the bath shower setup, within the room.

Do you like a hotel Mould in the shower Hopefully snot and not anything else on the shower wall Broken floor tiles in the shower Mouldy carpet Power outlets at floor level and sparse that makes the building look like it was built before electricity however it was built in the 90s Mouldy dishwasher that stinks Mould smelling room Kitchen equipment that stinks like rotten fish Finer ants through the kitchen Wifi that continues to drop out and is slow Welcome drinks that look like they were pulled from a back yard shed No restaurant A pool spa that doesn’t work A hotel that is clear about to become central apartments as the lobby and staff are all wearing that uniform. Pictures in the halls that are full of mould, not sure if the mouldy pictures are the actual art Beds that you would consider the floor might be softer Pillows that are as thin as paper Air conditioning that is either off or freezer Room cleaning that occurs once a week that didn’t really happen Carpets that are seem to have never been clean Staff that really don’t care.

Good location, spacious apartment with cooking facilities. A bit outdated in furnishings & bathroom. Needs a renovation. Nice balcony with water views. Across the road to walking track along esplanade. When booking apartment I paid for parking through my agent but on arrival the motel said parking was extra. Even though I showed them my email to show I’d paid for parking they still wanted me to pay $19 per night parking. We didn’t get a carpark & had to park outside as they wanted to charge again for parking. Only negative of place was when the fire alarm went off & over PA system it was announced to evacuate building. We all went down stairs but didn’t know where outside to meet or what was going on. Fire brigade took at least 20 mins before arriving, no staff communication to guests at any time. Waited outside with some guests but other guests were still in the foyer while Fire brigade there. Nobody knew what was going on. Eventually a sign was put up to show where to stand outside but still no communication so nobody saw the sign unless they were close by to the entrance. Once fire trucks left guests wandered back inside not sure if ok to do so or not. Very poor safety measures & no communication for a fire evacuation.

The hotel cancelled my booking and did not advise me or the booking service I used. I received terrible service by the after hours hotel staff member when I arrived after midnight, with no explanation or apology, only an offer to rebook directly with the hotel at a much higher price. The security guard was very helpful in helping me contact the after hours staff. I would suggest that the after hours arrival process is improved, given it is common in Darwin to arrive after midnight. I also suggest that if the hotel does not support third party booking apps it should not make its rooms available on these.
