basic hotel that seems to be undergoing significant ground floor renovations. basic but decent. Large rooms.

Perfect location for our work purpose. Accomodation was provided clean however no room cleaning took place over our 4 nights.

We are pleased to hear that our location continues to suit your work requirements and that you found the accommodation clean upon arrival. However, we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused by the fire alarm issues and understand your frustration, especially as you experienced a similar situation during a previous stay. Please be assured that your feedback has been shared with our maintenance team for further review and follow-up. We also regret that your room was not serviced during your four-night stay. This is certainly not the experience we aim to provide, and we apologise for the oversight. I have stayed here for the past 10 years - this trip however I stayed in room 617 - the shower had hideous grout and black mould all over it - I didn't want to have a shower. The couch had large stains all over the seat and there is a cushion with a hole in the side with the stuffing coming out. The TV remote was so dirty you could see the layer of dirt on it - it has never been cleaned. It was horrible.

Although dated, our room was a good size & although missing few amenities management quickly delivered to us. With upgrades there is so much potential for this to be a really great hotel. Well positioned on the Esplanade with many eateries close by. Lobby is inviting. The price of the room for 2 nights was very reasonable. With no restaurant on site room service is out sourced & brought in to the hotel which isn't ideal as our food arrived an hour later, stone cold. Burger was burnt, fries were so overcooked that it made the meal inedible. Management rectified by canceling the order for us. The state of the meal was no fault of the Mantra however it could have a negative impact on the hotels image if this is an ongoing issue.
