Mouldy rooms, poor service.

Our company had several staff staying at the mantra. Many of our rooms were mouldy and smelt bad. One staff member became sick. Staff did move us when requested but overall the hotel was tired and old and in need of life.

Convenient but lacked comfort and cleanliness. Rooms are tired and run down. Had to ask housekeeping for sheets to cover the lounge as they looked filthy. In the bathroom our washing machine was missing and the cupboard doors had not been put up they were leaning against a wall. Not to mention once again the fire alarms and evacuation occurred 3 times during our stay. Seems to always happen at this building. Overall the building looks good from the outside and hallways look good as they look to have been recently painted however the rooms are needing attention and make overs.

Old fashioned shower in the bath with a fixed glass panel made it very challenging for me to shower as I have a broken foot. I was offered a stay at the other mantra hotel but this was at additional cost. Also did not realize this hotel is mainly for long term residents. No restaurant for breakfast also made this very difficult .

great views on the esplanade side. never stay on the city side
