Awesome, friendly and helpful staff and the best Mojito's in town!! However, our the air-conditioner in the bedroom wasn't very cold and the room smelt a bit musty upon entering.

A good sign of a good business is seeing the same staff, The front desk, bar,catering,house keeping, the happy all around the resort gardener, are truly a credit to your company. We are always welcomed and all the staff recognise our crew of 14, The day Bar manager deserves a pay rise. My only suggestion would be to revise the menu a bit more and to keep more drinks on ice or tune up the bar fridge.

The bungalow that we stayed in was tired but reasonably clean. The bed was comfortable and the bungalow had everything we needed. Reception Staff were helpful and polite. I had the burger twice and it was delicious. The fish curry and grilled fish were both excellent. The beef pizza was not great and only had minimal toppings. Some of the staff in the bar/restaurant were very helpful and polite, but others lacked customer service. Failing to make eye contact while taking my order and acting annoyed and uninterested. I was overcharged once at the bar and when I pointed it out the bartender said that my next drinks would be free. When I returned I told a different bartender and he told me initially that I was wrong it was another customer and I had not been overcharged. It was sorted out but disappointing to be told by staff that I was wrong. The happy hour on a Saturday was advertised with posters on the wall until 6pm but staff told us that it finished at 5pm when we tried to order drinks after. The bar also ran out of Vodka, Bacardi and Tequila on a Saturday afternoon. There was plenty of people enjoying the pool on the Saturday afternoon and I believe that the Bar Staff were annoyed having to make the cocktails and serve.

I wasn’t going to write a review but this is the third email I received to share feedback and since I’m writing one Il write my elaborate honest thoughts. I work a lot of hours but luckily NT gave me the voucher to be able to use on any of the local places and since I work so much I decided to treat me and my friend to a hotel stay. I booked mine at Hilton and she booked it at Mercure. I’m comparing both because the idea for both of us was to have a nice relaxing day after working so much. With Hilton everything went well and we got a complimentary breakfast which was a highlight and the room for value of money was decent as described in the pictures. Coming to Mercure our main reason to book was how amazing the rooms looked in the pictures and since Hilton didn’t offer spa services we went and booked the most expensive room at a half price coz of the voucher. Now getting there we got to park securely which was great but when I went to check in at 2(Hilton allowed us to check in early as there’s no rush) I had called Mercure prior to ask if I could check in early and was given a refusal which was understandable. Not everyone allows early check in and it’s stated in the booking check in is only 2 pm. We get there at around 2:58 to check in as we wanted to grab lunch first but the staff even though they were very courteous and friendly said oh, a suite. She immediately called some staff to ask if they had a clean suite available and she got the reply no. So then she asked someone to clean one asap and asked me to wait in the restaurant or reception area for 20 mins. I opted to drive and fill fuel in my car. After 25 mins of receiving no call I went angrily back to which she said I was just about to call you and gave me the keys(yet again I say her service was good and professional) Now after reaching the room I was shocked. It’s a suite basically and it was nothing like the description. Like apart from the spa it looked more like a room in a small motel or more like those units people are given out to rent on short term. Fridge empty except a small milk box, aircon took hours to like get cold and temperature couldn’t even go below 21. Late at night, I asked if we could order food and it had closed ? I mean every hotel has a 24*7 restaurant. I’m not expecting the best of food options but hey at least a simple egg dish or omelette or something ? Spa was amazing but then the lighting was so bad. Overall we booked to relax in the spa which we got but the lighting, the room. Overall for the price it was a horrible experience. Specially when Hilton gave a much better room and breakfast for something cheaper. Nor did we get our value for money nor was the room good and nor was our experience. So although your brand Mercure might be great, the hotel/resort in Darwin and our experience there was just lame and super duper bad

Specifically needed a room with spa bath to alleviate my aching tension. Customer Service was impeccable and prompt to assist when spa bath plug proved to be not complying with its one and only job. To get to the point staff provided another one and i had the most relaxing spa bath and plus stayed another night which was discounted so overall, a service that can be reliable and accommodating. :)

I stayed for one night in a standard room. My room wasn't cleaned very well and it was very outdated. It could definitely do with an upgrade in the bathroom and clean curtains and floors. The pool was lovely and was nice to enjoy cocktails. The outside area was all very "resort like", however the rooms could definitely do with a refresh and upgrade as they were very basic and not very clean. I also had to ask for extra towels as only one was provided in my room and the complimentary water wasn't in my room as an Accor member which is usually is.

We have stayed here many times before. It is our favourite resort in Darwin. This time we were celebrating our first wedding anniversary. We love the convenience of the bungalows by the pool. The resort pool is fabulous, with beach entry for the kids (and us oldies), a spa and waterfalls. The new cabana is a great addition to the place too. We couldn't help but notice that the property needs some TLC. A bit of love and attention wouldn't go astray. A broken door on the vanity (has been broken for years), worn patches of carpet, broken tiles around the edge of the pool, one of the waterfalls not working. And more attention to cleanliness around the pool is needed too. Used pool towels piled up all day. Used glasses and takeaway containers left sitting on the tables for hours on end. Lemon rinds left on the pavers for days. Rubbish in the garden. Dead trees that need to be felled and removed. I suggest the bar staff spend more time around the pool area, keeping the place looking clean and tidy and also taking F&B orders. It's not realistic to expect customers to queue up inside for F&B when you are dripping wet! And the pool towels are stored "inside" as well. We love this Resort, but the Resort needs to see some love from management!

My family and I love staying at the Mercure Darwin. We stay there at least 2 - 3 times a year and have done for almost 6 years. As always the staff were friendly and facilities always excellent. A little disappointing we didn’t have a proper kitchenette. I think next time I’ll book our usual family spa room or bungalow. We also had to pay $20 for late check out. That’s the first time I’ve ever had to pay that. It’s not much money but considering we stay there several times a year a little disappointing that I had to fork out that extra amount again.

We needed to extend our stay twice due to additional appointments and flight unavailability. We also requested to change rooms as the Air condition started to pour out water on our final night and the smell over powering. I am very grateful to the team for making our stay less stressful.

I was born here in the Northern Territory and lived here my whole life I have been to a few different hotels around Darwin and I can say that your hotel lacked the basic needs of toothpaste Drinking water towels And a few other things the fan would not stop clicking the Aircon would not stop leaking we had to get room service for all the basic needs that I have listed above and pay for them out of my pocket the carpet of the room that we stayed in has been water damaged from the Aircon I can only imagine we sat by the pool and drank a fair few cocktails which were nice that’s the only thing I can say was nice about it in the morning we got breakfast went and picked it up from the kitchen and took it back to our room to eat it there Which it was not good we had to get room service for all the basic needs that I have listed above and pay for them out of my pocket the carpet of the room that we stayed in has been water damaged from the Aircon I can only imagine we sat by the pool and drank a fair few cocktails which were nice that’s the only thing I can say was nice about it in the morning we got breakfast went and picked it up from the kitchen and took it back to our room and eat it there My partner did not enjoy the food it did taste like it has sitting there for over sometime or the ingredients were from some time ago. The bath tub was absolutely filthy we filled it up and put bubbles inside with the shampoo and conditioner we could see a line of film all around the rim of the bath now this is something that I thought the hotel cleaners would be looking after on a regular basis after every paying customer I do not feel like this is the case I have had a lot better experience at other hotels in Darwin I am not one to argue or to complain this is why we did not call the hotel to ask to change rooms about the leaking Aircon fan the lack of general needs the bath tub not being clean for the next paying customer if I could hear a response back from airport hotel about why this had happened to us that would be greatly appreciated 04… I have done a few reviews for a few hotels around Darwin and I can say this was the worst experience I’ve had in a long time
