Mercure in Kyoto has more updated facilities and staff is able to speak English. I expect more from brand Grand Mercure. Room is outdated, no dining offers, staff didn't speak English (I found only 1 staff that is able to speak English). Although the location is near the main tourist spot. Breakfast food is great. But overall, the hotel needs urgent improvement.

Hotel located near subway only one station to Odori. The room is quite big and well equipped with all require amenities. The bed was comfortable. All are new and in good condition.

- limited to no support on English language - takes atleast 30 mins to get response of every simple query e.g. how to get to airport, how to go to Otaru... Note: considering Sapporo is a tourist spot, it is expected staffs are knowledgeable to make lives of tourists easy. - did not deliver what was told e.g. did not give the welcome drink.
