This hotel was such a surprise and in need of some marketing. From arrival to departure it was delightful and although I didn't meet many staff those I did meet were excellent.

The new hotel is very nice, the building in itself perfectly integrated in the environment. The rooms are large and comfortable. However, I found the welcoming staff a little bit reluctant to accomodate my request to be able to have the keys of my room some time between 13h and 14h45. I asked at 9h, they said not before 15h. I asked again at 11h30, they said not before 15h, I asked again at 13h30 because as I participated in a seminar within the structure, we were supposed to meet for an excursion at 14h45. I was dressed for a conference, not to go on mountains. As a result of this uncharacteristic stubborness to access my room, I had to change in the parking, shoes, t-shirt, trouser. Everything in my car. Because in the seminar area there is only 1 bathroom, and we were 40 people. So at the end I had to change clothes in the middle of the parking. I was not happy. I ended up being about to get my key not before 18h15. No, I wasn't happy. ANd much less when I learned during the dinner that they wanted us to check out before 8h30, since we would be in a meeting, and they needed us to free the rooms by 10am. This is not acceptable for an hotel such as Mercure. So I did not give the keys until 11h30 when we had a coffee pause. HOwever they had deactivated the keys. So I had to ask a cleaning lady to open my room and access my affairs. Again, I repeat, this is not the standard of a Mercure, where you should be able to ask for a early check in - and I was only asking between 13h and 14h30 which was denied, and again for a late check out by 12h. This is not normal. It might be due to shortage of staff. of the youth of the staff, but still, it was not nice.

Very nice reception, lovely hotel Great room the experience was spoilt a little by the state of the breakfast buffet when we arrived at 10 a.m. We were told on arrival that breakfast was served till 10:30 am.
The whole buffet looked as if it had been cooked since 7 am and I like berries as part of my breakfast and there was only a chopped up horrible looking fruit salad. the young man on reception was totally unresponsive and dismissive so we said we would not take breakfast. We saw the manager a little later on at reception who we had dealt with on our arrival who was very good he said we should’ve been offered a freshly cooked breakfast which we weren’t he also said that there were berries available. The young man on reception was present and just looked again simple and dismissive.

Our room was lovely with a large balcony and sofas. It was well heated and very warm. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant was excellent. It felt very special even if, being hyper critical, the food didn’t have quite the flavour expected from the visual appearance.
A lack of reception area is a problem that needs to be addressed and porterage would be appreciated.

This is a really nice hotel in a perfect Pyreneeyan setting. The rooms are cosy and the decor is really nice. It was a shame the restaurant was closed ( it was a Monday ). And negative. There weren’t any drinking water dispensers which was a contradiction to the Accor green policy as it forced you to buy the mini bars water.
