The hôtel promised more than it delivered for the premier level of hotel. The reception staff were welcoming however the restaurant staff weren’t at all welcoming. There was no friendly ‘Bonsoir’ to greet us, just a very sullen (who we presumed to be) manager who couldn’t even raise a smile. We left the restaurant feeling like we’d been forgotten, literally (we waited an hour for our main course) and figuratively. None of the staff seemed like they wanted to be there. The room was ok however I feel we could’ve stayed in a cheaper room and not lost much in the way of comfort.

However, I am truly sorry that your experience in our restaurant did not reflect the same level of hospitality. Waiting an hour for a main course is not acceptable and does not correspond to the standards we aim to deliver. Your feedback regarding the attitude of our team is taken very seriously, and I will personally address this with the relevant staff to ensure this does not happen again. We are equally sorry that your overall impression did not meet the expectations associated with our hotel category. Your comments are valuable and help us to identify areas where we must improve, particularly in terms of service consistency and guest experience. Literally 1 minute off the A20, this hotel is perfect for a stop en route to Spain or south of France. The staff were really friendly. Hotel warm and clean. Simple but delicious breakfast. Plenty of free parking. We’ve stayed here many times and find it welcoming every visit.

A comfortable stay with good parking areas outside and helpful, friendly staff. We were particularly impressed by the sensible pooling of the dining facilities. The Pia Trattoria restaurant is shared between the three IBIS hotels on site, Budget, Original and Styles and the service and food is excellent. The guests are able to use the bar there before the restaurant area opens for service by internal routes. At quieter times, the restaurant area also becomes the combined breakfast room rather than setting breakfast up in 3 separate hotels. There was plenty of space and choice. An excellent solution and deployment of resources.
