Dirty pool, everything in dust and in the second day we experienced a rude attitude of a hotel manager

Hotel by itself is very nice, not expensive and having great location, as well as excellent equipment. But there is problems with cleaning the pool. It’s all dirty in the internal borders (you can see layers of dirt and insects), also on the floor of the pool there are a lot of insects as well as in the surface. We amused ourselves by cleaning it, since all the utilities were nearby but there is a big but. We had our dog with us, very small one - corgi. First day the lady in the reception was very nice to us, welcomed and explained that dog could be with us, but she is not allowed in the water, which was a great deal for us! Second day the man in the reception didn’t let us take her with us. We were very upset by this changement of rules. And since in the room there was nothing for a dog and she is not allowed anywhere, then for what we payed 10 euros supplementary ?

Vous avez rencontré notre Directeur le jour de votre arrivée, il a reconnu la famille de votre Ami à 4 pattes. Nous nous excusons qu'il n'aie pas pu vous accompagner à la piscine le deuxième jour. Le Directeur étant absent ce jour là, mon collègue n'a fait qu'appliquer la réglementation. Malheureusement, malgré notre nettoyage quotidien et régulière, c'est une période ou les insectes sont plus nombreux. Nous laissons la nature faire son travail. Et nous comprenons qu'il est parfois désagréable. Nous ferons en sorte que votre prochain séjour se passe le mieux possible. Dans l’attente de vous accueillir de nouveau, nous vous prions de croire, Madame B., en l’expression de nos sentiments les meilleurs. Daxy

I chose this hotel as it gave me a head start on the La Véloccitanie bike route heading south. I was offered a drink on arrival, which was most welcome. The breakfast was good, I was the only person in the breakfast room, and the two members of staff I met were very nice. There was an error on the bill, due to the confusing online booking system, but the hotel reimbursed me without question.
