Well located and with car park. Reception staff gave a warm welcome and were extremely helpful. A bad point was that they had to administer the linked Ibis Budget and somehow monitor the abuse of “Budget” guests encroaching and helping themselves to the breakfast next door.. Other than that it was first class experience all round.

Well located, good hotel

The hotel is well located, being only 10-15 minutes from the train station and about the same to the old town and the cathedral. I liked that they’d made a rather plain building look prettier by planting window boxes of red geraniums. We were allotted a spacious room on the 3rd floor, (301) larger than the normal Ibis room and facing the front. Fairly quiet but we could hear a little bit of road noise and some noisy kids! There must be a school across the road. Enjoyed a complimentary welcome drink after we prompted the receptionist. Close to restaurants. We didn’t try the breakfast as there was a good bakery a couple of doors down.

We stayed for one night on our cycling holiday, the staff were extremely helpful, ie storing our bikes and helping us settle in.
