I booked a five night stay here, based on the good reviews on this site, but I was truly dissappointed, it was not what I expected. The parking was practical (although limited in space), room size ok, at a busy road, but it does not impact room experience, enough shops nearby to get food. The room itself though needs a decent refurbushing and thorough cleaning: the walls and doors were dirty, the bedsheet was as thin as a hankerchief, with holes and tears in, fortunately I brought my own pillow. The microwave could not be used (looks like someone replaced the original turntable with a one that is not suitable for this appliance) and the coffee maker was broken, leaking water all over when filled. Most of the kitchen equipment was very worn out and dirty and the range hood was covered with a grease film, I did not dare to use any. It did not bother me that the bathroom was small, but it was dirty. Urine stains against the toilet wall, hairs stuck to the walls and ceiling (!), the shower door did not close properly so with every shower you step on a wet bathroom floor. If you do decide to stay here, I suggest you bring a lot of disinfecting tissues.

Located close to Daamport train station, facing one of the channels. Spacious rooms with small kitchen corner, definetly recommend for family stay. Wonderful breakfast selection. Rooms facing the channel were a bit noisy due to the hotel bar.

Clean and good kitchen. OK location. However, our room was not very soundproof, so we were woken up by our neighboors and people running in the hallway in the middle of the night. The staff was very helpful. We had booked a taxa to Gent St. Pieters which did not show up and we had to make it to the train station to get to our train back to Denmark. A kind employee took us in his own car at 05 am and we made it! A huge thank you to him!

This is an amazing great value hotel. Friendly staff, well designed public areas and great rooms. So much care and thought has gone into the design to maximise functionality and style. Sockets, lighting, storage, seating, comfortable beds and good shower. Also easy for travelling with our dog. We would definitely return.
