We had to change room due to the fact that the doorhandle fell off the door. Saferybox didnt work. Room nr 2 was better. Perfect location. Horrible facade, didnt match the buildings in the area. Breakfast and bar very good! All the staff was very friendly and accomodating. Cleaning lady - a gem! Take good care of her!

However, we are truly sorry to hear about the difficulties you encountered with the door handle and safety box in your room. We understand how these issues can impact the comfort of your stay. We are also aware of your concerns about the facade of our building and we take your comments about the need for modernization seriously. Additionally, we regret that the gluten-free bread did not meet your expectations and that the bar's hours of operation were not to your satisfaction. We acknowledge that not all your requests during online check-in were met, and for this, we sincerely apologize. Overall, an enjoyable stay however, the attention to detail could be improved as in ensuring the tean and coffee supplies are checked and replenished each day and on one day, returned after a long day of sightseeing to find that whilst the room had been serviced, no towels were left. The Reception staff were most apologetic and the situation was sorted very quickly, however, for a property of this standard, should not occur.

Dated rooms with broken facilities, disappointing breakfast

The rooms were disappointing - the TV didn't work in the first room we were put in, so we had to pack all our things and move to another room, which was an Executive room upgrade. The upgrade was rather disappointing - a coffee machine, a can of beer and coke, dressing gown and slippers, and that was about it. The room was otherwise identical, except this room had a blocked sink which remained blocked for the duration of the stay. Other gripes - why is there only a power outlet on one side of the bed? doesn't everyone have a phone that needs charging these days? also no USB ports that I could find. The sofa bed was very tired - the cushions were ill-fitting and it was really only for occasional use. The whole room was a homage to 1990s brown decor, and frankly, needed a refresh. The breakfast was worth avoiding - expensive and like the rooms, rather tired, they ran out of food quickly, and strangely, for a Hotel located in Waffle central, there were no waffles. On the plus side, the staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel is perfectly located, especially for the Christmas market, which is literally outside the front door.
