Put the bed 30cm further from the wall for more comfort. Now it is difficult to get in or out of bed. Very nice breakfast and good bed. Clean room and bathroom. Pleasant stay in the heart of the city.

We had a great stay in Ghent the hotel is right in the centre. There is very limited parking but travelling out of season we had a space which made life much simpler than if we hadn't a space. First class breakfast friendly and helpful staff. We had a minor issue with our room and were moved immediately no fuss. Highly recommended as has been our experience with the Novotel brand within the group.

I stay in this resort some times a year, very closed historic center and city pearling, nice staff, excellent breakfast, nice rooms, small fitness zone. The bar corner has a little menu, kitchen is right.

The hotel is great, with a great structure, great breakfast and also am excelent service. One unique complaint is that for some reason I didn´t receive my ALL points. Even though I did not booked via online travel agency.

We were happy. The counter informed us the room was not available upon check-in (we were early) Yet they allowed us to leave our luggage until we came back free of charge. Upon return the room was clean and ready. Perfect service.

We love staying at this hotel. It is very central, the staff are extremely pleasant and knowledgeable about Ghent. The rooms are a good size with nice bathrooms. Very nice bar area and not expensive to eat or drink. For the better weather it has a really nice swimming pool which is lovely to have a drink by. Hope to be back in March.

The hotel is in a perfect location with nearby parking. The room was large and clean, some decoration in the bathroom and toilet required. Seating for breakfast was a shambles, not enough seating for guests at peak times. Food however was delicious. The bar could be more cosy with improved comfortable seating, a lot of tables reserved for meals so no seating if one only wanted a drink. Most of the staff were exceptional but I found the barman very discourteous and a couple of the waitresses in the restaurant were clearly overworked, stressed and grumpy - it showed. Overall a good weekend and will return.

booked two rooms as we had my daughter her partner and the grandchildren. Both rooms clean and tidy no complaints. Breakfast was very good. Staff in general friendly although we found a bar man to be a bit grumpy we also prefer the old style bar with comfortable settee and armchair seating and not the arrangement that is there now. We did have a bit of a discussion when checking out when the staff member did not believe that we had paid parking included. The guy was being a bit of a div until he realised his mistake. My only real grip is the car park exit. Turning right from the parking area is very difficult for some cars I have and Audi SQ5 and I was edging back and forth with fractions between me and the wall. It would be easier to go out the same way you come in and avoid the tight turn.

Room is clean and breakfast is good , delicious everything is perfect. In the buffet we have waffel merchine. coffee is aromatic. Sauna is comfortable. there is perfect for family and for kids. I want to stay too if i am in gent once more.

Dirty hotel, very aggressive and unfriendly staff at the reception. The hotel is completely not worth the money, paid for two people is not a cheap room, but even a second bathrobe and slippers were not provided. Terrible soundproofing does not give rest, everything is heard, conversations and abuse of cleaners, all who walk along the corridor. The location is good, but the main entrance was closed, I had to get around. You can not leave a message on the accor site to solve the problem, since the city of Gent is not in Russian and English. Very disappointed, the hotel ruined the whole trip.

Breakfast and staff friendliness a real problem

I have an Accorhotels PLATINUM status, meaning I stay a minimum of 60 nights/year in one of the hotels. to be precise, I frequent (also other) hotels +/- 150 nights/year and this already for more than 20 years. So I know what I talk about! Breakfast was 6:30-10:00 on Sunday 22 December. All people in the hotel are there on Christmas holiday. Who 'on earth' goes to breakfast at 6:30?? So, when we arrived at 9:15, the breakfast room was full, and we saw Salmon on the plates of the people, however, there was no more salmon available. When I politely asked for it, there was a angry face of the staff, and he just ran off, not even trying to make eye-contact. When I then also got angry, thing escalated... Staff told me that I shouldn't come so late? When I replied that in spain or italy, they don't even start before 9:00, the reply was, when you go now to breakfast in Australia, there will also not be breakfast. (of course one thing has nothing to do with the other). And that is not all: Also other food was out, such as eggs, bacon, beans, waffles, several break types, etc... It is the must of the hotel to provide enough food for everybody and until closing time. They know exactly how many breakfasts are served. Understaffed is also not our problem. I paid thus roughly 20 Euro/person for a croissant and coffee. My Platinum-status, nor the fact that I paid equally to all the others has no value whatsoever, so next year, I will frequent other hotel-groups more often. Ps. I also have the bad experience that Accorhotels doesn't take seriously negative feedback. Sure that when one goes back next year, things are equal. And sure that we are not the first to complain abouth the same.

It was quite good. However the cleaning staff was extremly noizy on my first morning, the only one I had available to sleep late, including slaming doors and banging on walls. I am aware there was work happening outside, but it was much less disturbing than the noise coming from the cleaning staff. Finally the toilet paper was extremely harsh, I am sure you can afford to provide something much better. The room was great appart from that.

The hotel is nice but the shower is dangerous. It is one of those rainfall type shower heads, big and heavy and it did not fit easily onto the place or hangs from so it fell and hit me on the head which caused me to slip and fall and hurt my side.
