The location of the hotel is generally excellent as it's in walking distance from everywhere in central Gent with a plenitude of restaurants to choose from within a radius of 400 metres. We had not expected that there would be a Christmas fair and roundabout immediately outside our bedroom with rather a repetitive choice of Christmas songs. However, perhaps we should have anticipated this situation and it was nice to see so many people, especially the children, enjoying themselves. The room was comfortable. The staff were, as previously experienced, very helpful and friendly, especially the Reception and cleaning teams. The breakfast choices were good but the staff seemed overwhelmed at times by the numbers of persons at breakfast, and a number of items were missing for longish periods, e,g croissants, and bacon. These were replenished in due course but anyone with a limited time available for breakfast might have had to forgo a favoured option occasionally. The bar, well-staffed initially, was fine for the earlier part of our stay but was, very surprisingly, not open at all for the last 5 evenings. This was very disappointing and has caused me to award a lower mark for the hotel than I would have anticipated when we arrived. We have stayed in this hotel previously (very enjpyably) and would do so again taking into account the special (Christmas and New Year) circumstances of this stay. I probably would not choose to stay in the hotel again during the festive season, although Christmas Day Mass in Sint Baaf's Cathedral was very rewarding as was New Year's Day Mass in the crypt.

Long Check-In Wait, Room Not Warm

It took almost 40 minutes to check-in because there was only one person working at 4:30 on a Saturday, which is a popular check-in time. I had also checked in online but there was no separate expedited process for that, so I still had to wait in a very long line. My room was extremely cold overnight and no adjustment of the thermostat seemed to help. I also couldn't get hot water in the sink.

The room is clean and functional however the TV was not working - the only option was to change room - There is no restaurant in the hotel and no room service. I stayed for an entire week for work and was not practical to have to eat out every night. Good for travel but not practical for long stay and for work. Breakfast is very ok though.

I was in Gent on a business trip. I had been at this hotel several times before Covid. Nothing has change in a good way. The hotel is very well situated in terms of the city center. You can walk to almost everything. The customer service remains excellent and the front desk staff go above and beyond to assist with your every need. Hotel rooms are quite comfortable and very clean. I would for sure stay here again. It’s one of the best hotels in Gent

well, very disappointed. HEating was not woking. Front desk did not answer phone, so needed to come down to frontdesk to claim. So got an electric heater which was very noisy! So at least, front desk told me she is allone, she can't help and only solution is extra heater. I also left a message on your system (the QR code in the room). Never got any answer... So i will certainly not come back to this Hotel.
