Generally good although we had to change rooms as the window in the first room didn’t close properly which meant we had a noisy night with the cafe outside hosting a party which went on beyond 3.00am in the morning

Arrived on a lovely sunny day to a very warm welcome from Waal and Serda. The location is excellent right in the centre easy walking distance to the Cathedral, the Friday market and the castle. It has a nice bar with a with a pleasant young man called Kaz and we always enjoy our welcome drink there. In the more warmer weather it is lovely to sit on the terrace watching the guests using the pool. The rooms are always very clean and all the staff are very helpful. There is parking underneath the hotel but it is better to pre book a space. Ghent is a beautiful city and well worth s visit.

Having booked a Family Suite what we received was not a Family Suite! We phoned down to change our room and were told that there were none of those rooms available. So I went down to Reception to show the room I had booked versus the one we had been allocated. Finally, after about 10 minutes an available room was 'found'!!!! Why could they not just give us the correct room type when we checkedin? We had stayed in this room type at this hotel before so what we expected to get and were therefore very disappointed to receive a different room type. This left a nasty taste in our mouth, It's such a shame as this is such a great hotel in a wonderful location.
