The room was very small and the bed pushed against the wall. One small lumpy pillow. Coffee in reception was poor and staff disinterested in helping. Would not stay again!

A good basic hotel for visiting Ghent. Rooms are small but clean and well maintained. Decent breakfast. The hotel is easy to reach by car and has a paid parking. 20min walking to the center, there are nearby bus stops to go to the center as well.

We had a wonderful stay at the ibis in Ghent. The hotel is very well located, the rooms are comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was excellent. However, what really made our stay special was the staff. Everyone was very helpful and welcoming, but a special mention absolutely has to go to Nadia, who welcomed us when we arrived. She took the time to point out routes on the map, recommend places to visit, and give us tips on how to explore Ghent. She was incredibly kind and went truly above and beyond, especially with our family and our young daughter. Her kindness made a real difference to our experience. The only reason I am not giving 10/10 is that the towels had a slightly strange smell during our stay. I honestly suspect this was related to the laundry service rather than the hotel itself, as everything else was very clean. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely stay here again. Thank you to the whole team, and especially to Nadia, for making us feel so welcome!
