The hotel was positioned wonderfully for our roadtrip this year. We came from Bruges Belgium and was an easy drive. Staff great, room is compact but a very comfortable bed and very clean. Breakfast included the usual buffet, but bacon, eggs and baked beans too. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again

A great location—just a few minutes’ walk from the city centre and conveniently close to Dampoort train station (so make sure to use this station instead of Ghent-Sint-Pieters if you’re staying here). Probably one of the best Ibis Budget hotels I’ve stayed in. The hotel is nicely designed, with a comfortable interior and satisfactory rooms (a bit on the smaller side but still reasonably comfortable). The lobby offers plenty of seating, a microwave, and even a small library with a rack of books. You can also rent bikes here. Overall, a really nice hotel.

Staff were lovely, the location was excellent, however the rooms could be a little bit cleaner (dusted). My allergies were killing me!
