Stay at hotel ruined by the impossibility to pay with points

As such the hotel is nice and modern with friendly personnel. However, my careful planning for this family trip in the middle of a 2,000km journey was ruined by the fact I had to spend a couple of hours at the reception and then at the phone in the evening then in the morning to hear that my account was suspended. The beauty of an account suspension is that there is no notification sent: the account works just fine so I didn't notice that but for one thing, which is using the points. Then despite me reacting immediately to send the necessary documents, this took 3 days for some IT team to click and reinstate me. Needless to say that I couldn't pay with points so now have another open claim to get a refund and these points used. So much finally for being a "valued" Gold member.

Everything was perfect, from check-in to check-out: beautiful building in a quiet area of Friedrichshafen, easy parking, and an amazing staff committed to customer satisfaction! We loved the tasty breakfast with a wide range of high-quality products and the sunny terrace with a nearby playground for kids to enjoy right after breakfast (or even while the grown-ups are still having a last cup of tea before starting the day). Special thanks to the team who went the extra mile to make our kid even happier with with own set of sheets on the couch: he loved it! :)

Nice and helpful staff. Some hard-to-bear noises from the AC. Cleaning could be improved, especially vacuuming.
