A nice hotel, great rooms, small but good gym, small pool and wellness area - perfect for winding down after a busy day. In the morning a superb breakfast awaits you. Check-in took a while due to high amount of people arriving at the same time.

Stayed with family for three nights, for the 3-Länder-Marathon. Great location for the event, as the hotel is close to the finish line, the train station and the convention centre for the BIB pick-up. Clean and quiet. Nice swimming pool and sauna which came handy after the marathon :-)

There are plenty of good things to say, like the comfy beds, the huge TV mounted corrected and the terrific breakfast. The location is pretty good, although a bit noisy, but not a problem. Many details in the room have been handled with love and attention. There is a bottle opener, shoe horn, nail file and the safe is mounted in a back-friendly height. Very nice, but has the management actually tried staying in one of the rooms? Like on a rainy day, where there is little to do outside. The first thing missing is a proper wastebasket, like every other hotel in the world. The one in the bathroom is too tiny for a whole day, two people. The second problem is the reading lights at the sides of the bed - useless for reading. Then there is the shower in the bathtub, which is difficult to use at one has a tendency to stand at the drain cap, but okay, this is a minor inconvenience. The toilet paper is thin quality, not really what I had expected. The mini bar feels absolutely silly, as there is nothing in it. Two different beers - we would have to share a bottle of beer. No whisky, no vodka, no anything. It would be a lot more preferable to have an empty fridge and a vending machine for the entire floor. The furniture is also unpractical. There is room enough for two chairs, but only one is present. It is a Twin room so many we would both like to sit. The small table is pretty to look at, but as it is made of solid steel, it is heavy. Because the reading lights were bad, we had to move the table and chair to get better lights from the window. The coffee in the room is standard instant, but the tea is very high quality. Such a shame, that the tiny cups are not suitable - should have been mugs. Not the end of the world, but just an example of lack of love and attention to detail. Now, the one thing that breaks the good experience is your charity donation scheme where you try to get the guests to omit cleaning. While this sounds good on paper, it is not, as you are in effect trying to get rid of the staff. The staff doesn't care and you have no management looking them over their shoulder. Twice we got a chipped glass/cup in the room. Once one of the glasses were left dirty. Once the staff abducted our keycard. The "please clean the room" sign was ignored. Instead of prioritising the ones with the sign, the staff just cleaned in whatever order, so it wasn't clean after we came home by 15:00 (gone for three hours). Speaking of chips in the glasses, try inspecting the juice glasses at breakfast. We managed to get cracked glasses twice and chipped more than five times.
