The room received was new clean and according description, as the hotel is quite new. The problem is from my point view the way hotel and situations are managed - there was a very large group or groups of children/youth which unfortunately arrived late after 22:00. And for more than 30 minutes there was high noise and disturbance. Although we checked-in around 21:00 and it was known the large group is delayed so the situation could be foreseen - and we were seen with a 5 year old children, we were not announced about the possible disturbance, not received a room somewhere at the end of a hall or better asked if we would pay any difference and be moved to Mercure in the same building with no large children groups. I would mention that the personnel at the reception also somehow told me I am not ok as I was annoyed speaking to them - reason - I told them the teachers accompnying the children had a very bad attitude why I went to the reception and why I asked them how that after all this noise (not children fault I considered) they ca discuss loudly in front of our door and knock from door to door) and to make it short the reception staff told me I can be moved (at around 23:00 with the child half sleeping after we had to calm her due to the noise) but she could not move us sooner because thy cannot move all the guests from ibis that where not part of the group. And of course next day no manager contacted me for a calm discussion and some customer care. Seriously - I hope you read this mesaage as I many times travel personal and professional related with Accor and i had never such a bad experience. And mainly I refer to the way I had received the customer care / feedback at the moment and no contact from the management after.

When you enter the hotel, there is an empty reception desk with no employee, the inside of the building looks like a warehouse, nothing welcoming, warm and pleasant, very ugly color on the walls (dark grey) and if you enter there when it's dark outside, it seems scary and you feel insecure. The temperature in the room was impossible to adjust, and it was so warm that it was impossible to sleep and it gave headaches. Also impossible to sleep with the windows open as there are constructions during the night in the next yard. In plus, there was a party somewhere in the hotel in the evening, with a lot of noise that could be heard on the ground floor.

It’s a solid “good stay” pick for short leisure or business trips: modern, clean rooms, a well‑rated breakfast and lunch, a handy location near Arini Park and close to the center. You can park at the location and ask for a discount if you stay for longer. In Sibiu most of the parking spaces are free of charge. I participated at a conference here and everything was super.
