Some good aspects, but overall did not live up to Accor standards

Stay began poorly as I was notified the night before arrival that my reserved Suite was overbooked and would not be available for me. Alternative solutions were offered and were accepted given the circumstances of being too late to find another hotel. Hotel parking was convenient and easy to use. Maintenance at the hotel is poor, despite the building being quite new. The heating system in 3 of 4 rooms did not work properly (heat would not turn off regardless of thermostat setting). Bedside reading light in one room was hanging loose. Carpet in one room had food crumbs from previous stay. 2 of 4 rooms had empty or near empty body wash in shower and was not replenished in advance of stay. One of two elevators was out of service.

During the entire stay I felt well looked after and treated extremely friendly. The breakfast is varied and diverse. The only criticism is that the hotel is new and everything should work perfectly. Unfortunately, the bathroom door is stuck to the floor and is therefore difficult to close. Bedside lamps have also been damaged.

Brand new hotel. Great breakfast and as a addition you have an indoor swimming pool at disposal. 15 minutes walk to city-center of Sibiu.

The hotel itself is really nice and modern. Unfortunately it’s run by staff that just don’t care about anything. When I arrived I was check-in by employee that barely spoke any English and was very confused. It was also for a very first time when my Accor Gold status was not recognized not even by giving me a voucher for a welcome drink. During my stay the room was not cleaned at all. Even though I met some cleaners in the walkway and I put sign on the door “please make up my room” they did not clean my room at all. During the breakfast almost half of tables did not have cutlery on the table (I was there between 7:00-7:30) and the staff was nowhere near to be seen. The icing on the cake was when I was checking-out. Firstly the receptionist tried to charge me full amount even though I paid already for the booking with 6000 Accor points. Then he didn’t know how to make the payment using points&cash and we had to wait for the dayshift receptionist to sort it out. Overall I am pretty sad to see such a nice hotel with such a low standards for service.
