run down hotel, 2 irons not working, old moldy frayed towels. Not to mention no way to shower if using the gym or pool ( accept for outside ).

Beautiful location. Very different welcome this time, a little officious, can't use drinks vouchers anymore except at Christinas (which was closed for private event on last morning of stay), great that you have a turn down service and housekeeping is friendly and quiet in the mornings. No hand and body cream anymore in room. Pool is a bit of an issue. You really need a better system. Went in the evening, all cabanas full, all seats full and now there is no time limits on the cabanas. Must be cost cutting due to not enough staff but that alone is a reason why I will not book next stay. In the end, I really love your location (almost can't be beaten) and the "vibe" but compared to other boutique hotels close by (and further afield like the edition), the actual product has changed for the worse since my last stay.

We only had a couple of days to spend in Singapore and the hotel Duxton was well placed and walkable for almost all of our needs plus when you use the AMEX card breakfast is included, which is one of the better ones we’ve ever had along with a generous US$100 hotel credit We would stay here again

The Mondrian is a nice hotel but there are a few issues. I could often hear a shower running in a room(s) upstairs. It may be showers in a number of rooms as bathrooms are usually stacked for plumbing purposes, but poor soundproofing. We could also easily hear people in the corridor so the door, although thick, wasn’t properly sealed and soundproofed. The lack of room service except between 11pm-5am was silly in a 5 star hotel. We often like breakfast in our room and after a fay of walking sometimes just want dinner in our room. The really good thing about staying at the Mondrian was the friendly and welcoming staff. I want to single out Toni and Hanny who welcomed us to the hotel and to Singapore when we met them at the rooftop bar right after we checked in our room and wanted to relax and unwind from our flight. What friendly warm people! When we checked out Hanny was in the lobby and she came right up to my wife and I and gave us special attention to facilitate our check out and asking how we enjoyed our stay and visit to Singapore. Good employees in the hospitality business create return and new customers!
