The room cleanliness is not up to standard, I could see hairs around the bathroom floor, it has not been cleaned, even the chair has food crumbs on it. This is basic housekeeping and it can’t even be done right. Additionally, while I appreciate the free parking coupons, the arrangement to have to drive out and re-enter the carpark daily to enjoy free parking is so inconvenient. What made the experience even more disappointing is that when I try to get the parking coupons from this lady from the counter, she said the weekend parking is only $3.50 per entry, I’m not sure why this comment is necessary, is she implying that we should just pay for it instead of getting the coupon from her? And, when we collect the free welcome drink from the bar, this is the first hotel that provided me with a takeaway paper cup when I told them I wanted to have it in my room instead of at the bar, receiving a welcome drink in a disposable cup from Sofitel does not feel luxurious or consistent with the level of hospitality I’d expect from a hotel of this calibre. Even other hotels have always prepared the drink in a proper wine / cocktail glass. I had really expected more from Sofitel, I hope the management can look into these issues.
