Fun, affordable and popular designer rooms and restaurants

In downtown Lisbon, The 130 room Mama Lisboa is close to Marques de Pombal metro station, Avenida da Liberdade and the botanical gardens. Its design is closely related to fishermen and the sea: lively and welcoming but also intimate, with overtones of the first Mama, Mama Shelter in Paris. The outside terrace is behind the restaurant with plants, comfortable white seating and terracotta decoration. The walls and ceiling are covered with more abstract designs by French artist Beniloys.

Our room 401 was very small what gives a bit of a claustrophobic feeling. Very noisy at the back of the hotel with people on the roof next door and the noise of the airco.

It is perfectly located in the best neighborhood in Lisbon. Quite and calm with beautiful buildings. Away from the city noise but at the same time pretty close to it, just at a 15 minutes walking.. The bar and the restaurant are awesome. The rooms are clean and fancy, air conditioning and hot water, comfortable beds.

the only good about this hotel is the location its close to the center

customer service and reception its the worst... I asked to talk to the manager but as i see they dont even have one

I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations, please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. In terms of front office team, we have recently recruited new talents and of course, whilst is not an excuse, it is important to mention that we all have a learning process when in a new job and sometimes simple tasks to carry are done with a bit more time in the beginning. So I do thank you for the patience you had during your stay. About your room, the allocation sometimes can be tricky due to specific reservations and we always do our best to give you a good room. We know that you are a Diamond member and we always upgrade you if we have the chance but unfortunately, since it was the New Year's Eve, the Hotel was fully booked and was not possible to give you an upgrade at that time. However we were still able to give you a nice room with a view :) (Let me also refer that an upgrade is always depending on our availability) Still regarding your reservation, allow me to clarify that all Hotels are different and our Welcome drink is a bottle of water in the room.
