I had two reservations for a total of three rooms. Unfortunately, the check-in process did not go smoothly. The front desk became confused about our connecting-room request for one part of our family and initially assigned two of our rooms at opposite ends of the corridor. This separated our family, and we had to return to reception to request a room change. The entire process took nearly an hour, which was far too long after a long journey. There was also some confusion regarding our half-board package. One of our reservations included dinner, and we were informed that each guest had a US$35 dining credit. Since there were two guests in the room, we should have received a total credit of US$70. However, only about US$50 was deducted from our bill, which made the dining experience unnecessarily confusing and frustrating. Fortunately, we met the restaurant manager, Naomi, who genuinely cares about her guests. She carefully reviewed our bill, corrected the mistake, and ensured we received the full dining credit we were entitled to. What impressed us most was her attitude—she was warm, professional, and consistently checked that we were happy with both the food and the service. She turned what could have been a disappointing experience into a positive one. It was especially surprising because the previous day we had been told that the charges had already been posted and nothing could be changed. Naomi proved otherwise and resolved everything quickly and efficiently. She is a wonderful example of excellent hospitality and customer care. As Accor members who have stayed at Mövenpick and other Accor hotels around the world, we know the level of service the brand is capable of delivering. We hope the front desk team can become more familiar with room allocations and pay closer attention to family bookings so that guests traveling together are not placed far apart. Overall, while there were some operational issues with check-in and billing, Naomi’s outstanding service left us with a much better impression of the hotel. She is a real asset to the team.

I arrived at the hotel around 10pm. I had been flying for over 17 hours. My room was spectacular and had every possible convenience. I ordered room service dinner, which was promptly delivered. I didn't know that a breaded chicken sandwich and Frency fries could be so delicious. It was like my mom made it! I have food issues and usually can't eat much when traveling, but I found the next day's meals divine. I haven't seen that many choices at a dinner buffet in my life. There was something for every taste, and dishes were clearly labeled with potential allergy ingredients. They were beautifully displayed, warm, flavorful, and comforting. My travel group ventured to the Maasai Mara reserve for a few days, and then we returned to the Movenpick hotel for the final night stay. I felt like I had come home. The familiar faces and the delicious food made me feel very welcome. And being addressed as Miss Patrice by staff was extremely heartwarming. The rest of my travel group went to Tanzania, but I was leaving for home the following day. My flight was at 11 pm. I asked the hotel concierge what I could safely do for a whole day in Nairobi ... alone. She contacted my travel agent, Gate 1, who arranged a private driver for the day. The hotel gave me an extended check-out time, then my driver took me to the Nairobi Museum and National Park for more adventures. I was dropped off at the airport feeling like I had the best trip ever! As a female traveling alone, I have to be extra careful and aware of my surroundings for safety reasons. The staff at Movenpick went above and beyond to make my trip amazing.
