The hotel room was lovely. However I have a friend staying who needed to check in before me and despit ringing and emailing the hotel, this still proved to be a challenge. My email was responded too after my stay. Disappointed with the service.

Room was a great size and well presented. No food available at the hotel but plenty of options nearby. Only issue was parking or absence of when having to check in. Fortunately there were two of us. I checked in while my partner stayed with the car to avoid getting fined.

Room entry was not level underfoot, some rips in some cushions. However extremely clean: welcome gift was nice thanks. The room wasn't stocked with either a short or longer sharp knife or chopping board - as soon as I reported that to reception it was rectified which was excellent. Gym - water dispenser broken for some time, no fitballs; tv's not working. had to get my key re-keyed as it didn't work one day and reception were very unhelpful, it took over 5 minutes to get a key done - I've never experienced anything like that.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: The Johnson is hands-down my favourite hotel in Brisbane. Always gorgeous, even the most basic room is spacious and gorgeous. And this time I accidentally left some valuable and precious jewellery when I checked out and they found it straight away and kept it safe until my return. Thank you!
