We enjoyed our stay at The Beach Club. Our only criticism was the cleanliness- more specifically with the bedding. On two occasions we requested our bedding to be changed as mold was found on one set of sheets (maybe due to the climate/ humidity), and red stains (food or blood, neither is preferred) on another set. Diligence is needed from house keeping in ensuring bedding is clean when refreshing bedsheets. The staff were quick to rectify both issues happily. The concierge team were always so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The pool area was lovely and well kept. The location was great and walking distance into Port Douglas Main Street for so many choices for dining. I didn’t mention this to staff though, around 3pm on Saturday the 7th a group of unruly kids were in the pool area. It became clear they weren’t staying at the hotel as they yelled across the pool “you’ve been pranked” and ran out the back gate of the pool area. I picked up blood covered tissues one of them left so no one else had to handle it. Not something you can really help but I forgot to mention it (I’m sure it happens often with such an inviting pool area!)

We had an upgrade moving down to a ground level room with easier pool access. The aircon was leaking as we moved in and needed maintenance, and the fridge had been turned off and defrosted and leaked over the floor and seeped into some of our luggage. The floors could have done with a mop as the towels were filthy when we cleaned up the mess. Housekeeping was great, maintenance was quick and friendly. Could have done with another mirror in the main area. Pool was clean and warm, and coffee every morning was well made. All staff were very friendly and resolved issues quickly. Thank you

Such a great place to stay. Very relaxing and quiet. The pool is fabulous. Only a short walk to the main street of Port Douglas. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Fabulous resort and room but……

We loved the resort and room but without hot water for 3 days was not good. Understand that it was townwide but I would have expected some type of compensation for such an inconvenience like a reduced rate for those nights.
