While the facilities are great (ie the pool) the service was extremely dissapointing. On our first night the restaurant was closed and we were unable to get room service for our children until after 7.30pm. Had we of known this prior to arriving we would have had an opportunity to make other arrangements (all restaurants in port douglas booked out). Breakfast on our first morning took ages to be seated and then ages to even get a menu once seated. Our overall breakfast took 1.5hrs. It seemed that the resort was understaffed and while the staff that were working seemed to be working very hard, the service was not at a level that I would expect for paying over $600 a night.

We stayed here for 4 nights recently and it was fantastic. Unfortunately we didn't get an upgrade as a platinum member as they were fully booked which is understandable but the staff overall were fantastic. The room was quite spacious and the food at the restaurant was great.

Beautiful resort, atrocious service, breakfast appalling

It is a beautiful resort, but to need food at night time only to be told the kitchen is closed because they are overwhelmed by a wedding, which happened more than once is not acceptable especially when the food was for my two 5 year olds who needed to eat before bed there needs to be service to all guests at all times regardless of circumstance. This is the same at the pool bar where waiting for over 25 minutes for 3 drinks is hopeless! Breakfast, the food choices for children is dismal and for them to have coco pops to be told I had to pay for a milkshake when others are ordering full breakfasts and the cost between both is just sad, avocado from squeeze pouches is just wrong within a restaurant in a 5 star resort and to not offer your guests a so called "Barista coffee" but something from a nespresso machine that you can't self serve from is not thought through! Over an hour to serve 4 people a meal, it fine people don't have better things to do, it was quicker and better to drive into town to eat, even where the breakfast was included with our package, being best man at a wedding at your resort. We were told that upon checkout we could get our deposit refund pushed through fast, so that's what I did and gave the bank details, 3 days later still pending, what's the point in offering it then? We have stayed in a lot of 5 star resorts and this stay would be rated a 4 star holiday at absolute best!!

Very well laid out facility, however overall standard has dropped since 2019.

We booked the Sea Temple after we stayed there in 2019. The resort design and facilities are very family friendly and relaxing, however the overall standard of cleanliness and service has declined significantly since 2019. This is a 5 star resort with a price to match, I do not expect 3 star service and agency staff that have little to no experience.

We had a very enjoyable stay for a friend's wedding. Easy access to Port Douglas using the shuttle service and great tours and experiences to the Daintree Rainforest, Great Barrier Reef Low Isles and Sunset sail.

The rooms and the pool were lovely. Ordering a beer always seemed like a confusion to the staff. The beer taps were foaming every time and the staff didn't appear to know how to handle it. Paying for the beer with card seemed to take 5 steps. I ordered a shuttle for 11:15am. At 9:30am I received a call from reception notifying me that my shuttle had arrived. They explained I had received a confirmation email with 9:30 on it. I asked what email was used and the email address was spelled incorrectly. I had another shuttle rebooked for 10:40 instead. Maybe warn the guests about the crocodiles. There's no signs about it walking down to the beach. We aren't all locals...

Overall we had a good stay, there were a few thing that we were not overly happy with though. One night in the restaurant there was no beef, our room didnt get made up a day, some staff seemed like they didnt want to be there - making snide comments

The hotel was very pleasant, although cleaning of rooms was not always of the highest standard . The restaurant was not the standard of a 5 star hotel. However, staff who worked in the restaurant were great. ( Elle, Pizza, Francesca, Paula and Nat) Even the labour hire staff were great.

My experience was lovely overall. I did have one disappointment. I purchased the sun and sea package which included a spa treatment. I called the spa the day we arrived to book an appointment and it was completely booked out or closed for the duration of our 6 day stay. I wish I had been told to book in the spa treatment before we have arrived so we could enjoy this experience.

Had a great stay, unfortunately impacted by a Covid lockdown. The apartment had a fantastic water feature in the entrance, but unfortunately it was incredibly noisy. Each evening (being in lockdown) I arranged to have drinks delivered to my room, even though they always agreed they were always reluctant to.

The hotel is starting to look very tired, especially the two bedroom swim up apartments (which were not cheap!) and a little souless with no interiors or design to make it feel homely, very bland. The service on reception was amazing but you cannot be at full capacity and have no food and beverage staff. Wait time in the restaurant was ridiculously slow and at times rude. Also, we was not told that we would need to book into the restaurant for dinner at time of check in and when we went down for dinner, they were fully booked and unable to seat us. Also the spa was closed for the duration we was there - very strange! Underwhelming.

All the staff that we met are all amazing,helpul...The frontdesk people Harry is very good and nice...Senny the trainee is very quick and shes nice and smiling always in 15 minutes all done for check in very quick,she explained to ask everthing needed very qick...Our room 116 is very clean and spotless good job HSK staff...The lady in the restaurant Mitta very friendly and very nice...The food is really gourmet and well presented in our plate extra ordinary taste yummy,big shout to the chef(Julian)...I want to thank the GM for having this good team work in this Hotel...two-thumbs up!!! Good luck and more power...100% we will come back...thank you

Hi we stayed with you over Easter, overall our experience was very average for what we paid for 3 nights which was just under $1,500. We noticed we had lots of ants in our room in the sink and also all over the sides, I did complain only to be told there was nothing that could be done, I asked for the room to be cleaned which it was but they didn’t remove any of the dead ants on the sides and just seemed to give us nee towels. In terms of the food I would say this was under average, they were clearly understaffed, some bar staff were very rude and I found the overall experience in terms or ordering the most simple things unbelievable - mistakes with every order ! The hotel is very nice with a nice pool and a nice bath tub, good shuttle service to and from town - some of the drivers were also very very rude.

Recently stayed for my 40th birthday, 2 bedroom swim-out room. Great room, fairly clean. We had an unfortunate night with some drunk guests next door, but the hotel staff managed it quickly and effectively. The pool is amazing, and our child had a great time waking up each morning and jumping in the pool. Due to Covid-19 the food was a little limited with strange availability times imposed. There was no mango or strawberries available at the bar for mocktails. And i was unable to get into the Spa, as they are only operating a few days a week (but this was not mentioned) in saying all of that, the staff were great and very helpful.

We saved for months to be able to afford this holiday and booked 3 nights in a 2 bedroom apartment with plunge pool to spend our daughters birthday here and was disappointed in the accomodation, it did not meet our expectations. The first room had mould on blinds and in shower and behind bathroom door. Around every crevice around the doors there is a build up of dust and accumulated fluff. The aircon gave off a mouldy smell throughout the whole apartment. Spoke to reception and staff where very apologetic and changed our room and gave a complimentary cheese platter for the inconvenience which was a nice gesture. The second room was not much better. Same mouldy smell coming from aircon which set my allergies off. Considering this is a 5 star resort the apartments don’t meet the standards u would expect. Very outdated and in need of renovations and aircon ducts cleaned and sanitised. The plus side though is the customer service from all staff is excellent and the resort lagoon is lovely and the grounds well maintained, our private plunge pool was also lovely it’s just the apartments definitely need a makeover to meet the standards one would expect from a 5 star resort.

We stayed without 1 year old daughter for 4 nights in this beautiful hotel and we absolutely loved it! The rooms are beautiful we had a pool access room which we couldn’t fault. Thanks to all the lovely staff for making our stay so special, they even gave our daughter a little toy turtle on our arrival which was just lovely.
