Best location. So glad I picked it. Really nice to just be in the heart of things and be able to walk back to the room whenever. Our 1 bedroom apartment (107) didn’t have any issues with street noise. It was spacious and clean. Loved the spa bath and the washing machine was handy! So great that they even had a clothes horse (though some pegs would have been nice). Pool was fine, bit cold even though it says it’s heated. Parking was very convenient too. Never saw anyone at reception (not that we needed them) so just be prepared to use the outside phone for initial check in.

Mantra on the inlet is a great location with the Main Street on the door step and so close to restaurants. We had room 103, which unfortunately faced the Main Street. There was a lot of noise from pubs and clubs at night, we also had workers replacing guttering at our window at 6.30am the first morning and the garbage truck emptying bins at 5.30am the next. Our room was older and did not look pictures represented. KItchen is a very small and not a full kitchen. Your experience may be better in one of the rear rooms away from the Main Street.

The location was perfect for a wedding at the Wharf. The catch then is close to pubs and noisy. The bed was very comfortable but the room was very, very tired and in need of some up keep. Multiple taps dripping, older TV in bedroom and the table and bathroom floors needed more than a quick wipe over. The accommodation has multiple levels and stairs so be prepared.

On the Thursday night iwas awaken at 2.21am first people wanting a drink of water, then at 3.00am this is when I had a gut full and rang reception to get security. I also had my elderly mother in another room an I was worried all the time she would open the door. I later find out the car park door doesn't get shut. All the other do and you have to use your key. Very disappointing on site security.room was nice.

Checkin was terrible. Asked to use phone on wall. No one answered after 8 min. Walked around to other mantra. Told to go back & use phone. Again no answer. Called number on wall. It took 26 min until someone answered our phone call. Very unsatisfactory. The room was lovely & comfortable, great position. Loved it. No acess to inside hotel from carpark. Glad of luggage lift. Could not contact anyone for tea/milk when we ran out so had to buy our own.

Great location, but initially difficult to find entrance - more shop front next to retail businesses, rather than motel entrance. Car parking available underneath. Self check-in/security box as no one manning reception which caused us confusion at checkout/key return, but the cleaner sorted us out 😀 as the contact phone numbers were either unanswered or person unable to help us because they were at a different location.

We've stayed at Mantra before and things were much cleaner 😔 The staff we met were very nice and accommodating and explained that the dishwasher had flooded on a previous occasion and had been repaired. We were given extra tea towels and detergent.

Great view and good room with a lovely balcony. But the big drawback was it was located next to the iron bar (think thumping music and djs) and it didn’t close until 2-2.30am when lots of drunk revellers would gather on the street screaming and yelling. And once the revellers dispersed a couple of hours later the rubbish trucks and road sweepers started. Unfortunately, we left very sleep deprived. Also there was no lift to get your bags to the room (a luggage lift that only took them some of the way and only if working which it didn’t when we left). You could not have any mobility issues if you stay here, stairs are required to be climbed and bags carried up these. We were really looking forward to our stay in the heart of port Douglas and it was great being so close to everything but very glad it was only two nights (wed and Thurs) as we were exhausted when we left. I’d hate to be there over a weekend. Also the rooms do not get serviced while you are there (ok for two nights). I wish I’d known all of this in advance as we probably wouldn’t have stayed there. Unfortunately our concerns about the location came true. If you’re there to party then it’s the perfect location. If you’re there to keep normal hours and get some sleep I’d say stay away.

The unit is in a great location (which is why we chose to stay for second time). The stairs make the experience unpleasant. We were on the top level and the day we left, the luggage lift would not work; we tried everything as we had quite large cases. Ended up dragging it down to the parking basement which was quite difficult. The unit itself was spacious and well laid out.

Disappointed. Only saw reception staff briefly in 5 days there. Baggage lift wouldn’t work when departing. Had to carry luggage three flights of stairs. Too noisy from local pubs in the evening till 1am. You should consider installing double glazed windows/glass to buff the noise.

Rooms are very clean and well appointed. Located right in the middle of all the pubs and shops. Having no elevator could be a problem if you have knee issues like me but other than that it's a great hotel. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The apartment was very dirty on arrival with visible grit on the floor inside and out, and embedded in the lounge room rug. We had to dust and sweep surfaces and shake out the rug before we felt comfortable. The staff were helpful and did a good cleaning job when they got to it late on the second day, and the rest of the week was fine. Overall, it was a lovely stay marred by a poor welcome.
