Really disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. I emailed shortly after checking in, including photos, but received no response. The bathroom floor had stains, hair and footprints, one pillowcase appeared to be used and had not been changed, and there was significant dust under the sofa and bed, which clearly had not been vacuumed. The walls, light switches and lampshades also need a refresh or thorough spring clean. On the positive side, the location is nice, check-in was straightforward, and the undercover parking was very convenient. The balcony is also lovely.

No complaints about the room. We had a 2 bedroom & it was nicely appointed. The location is great for getting to the pubs & restaurants. But. If your young or young at heart & are going to PD to party & take advantage of the night life of the pubs it is the place for you to stay. If on the other hand your planning big days & want to get some sleep, then don’t stay here. It is literally surrounded by 3 hotels & another across the road so you’re totally at the mercy of their hours. For us that meant noise till nearly 4am one night & after 2 on another, even though google tells you they close between 11pm & midnight. Like I say, nothing wrong with the place itself, but depends what you’re looking for.

The location was great, just a shame about the actual apartment. It would be great if it was stated that it is not serviced so that people were aware before they booked. There never appeared to be anyone on-site that you could talk to, however, you were able to contact them by phone. There were stains on the lamp that looked like bodily fluids. The bathroom looked generally uncleaned/mouldy. The bi fold doors to the bedroom area were broken and unusable. Overall, it just did not feel like a Mantra standard.

Continued from above. Shower attached to wall very loose. Bedside light switch is intermittent may cause shorting. Pillows very uncomfortable none soft and very thick. The luggage lift didn’t work both on arrival and departing.

Thought I was booking a mantra not a hostel. No reception staff sighted the entire stay. Hiding behind BS environmental reasons for not servicing a room in motel. $20 for fresh towels, The map location shows the room overlooking the marina park yet it is above the loudest pub in Port Douglas. No mention of lack of room service or noise location in the booking information.

Unsatisfactory, checked in. Someone had there things in our room. Had to call After hours to then get provided another room. Was compensated with a coffee and pastry each day for the stuff up, and a complimentary night which we never received. Never had the room service or cleaned in the 6 night stay, not even a bin change or fresh towels. Pretty pathetic for the amount we paid to be honest. Location great but because of all the above we won't be back

Best location. So glad I picked it. Really nice to just be in the heart of things and be able to walk back to the room whenever. Our 1 bedroom apartment (107) didn’t have any issues with street noise. It was spacious and clean. Loved the spa bath and the washing machine was handy! So great that they even had a clothes horse (though some pegs would have been nice). Pool was fine, bit cold even though it says it’s heated. Parking was very convenient too. Never saw anyone at reception (not that we needed them) so just be prepared to use the outside phone for initial check in.

Mantra on the inlet is a great location with the Main Street on the door step and so close to restaurants. We had room 103, which unfortunately faced the Main Street. There was a lot of noise from pubs and clubs at night, we also had workers replacing guttering at our window at 6.30am the first morning and the garbage truck emptying bins at 5.30am the next. Our room was older and did not look pictures represented. KItchen is a very small and not a full kitchen. Your experience may be better in one of the rear rooms away from the Main Street.

The location was perfect for a wedding at the Wharf. The catch then is close to pubs and noisy. The bed was very comfortable but the room was very, very tired and in need of some up keep. Multiple taps dripping, older TV in bedroom and the table and bathroom floors needed more than a quick wipe over. The accommodation has multiple levels and stairs so be prepared.

On the Thursday night iwas awaken at 2.21am first people wanting a drink of water, then at 3.00am this is when I had a gut full and rang reception to get security. I also had my elderly mother in another room an I was worried all the time she would open the door. I later find out the car park door doesn't get shut. All the other do and you have to use your key. Very disappointing on site security.room was nice.
