I found it very disturbing that the Hotel could allow the Business next door to play loud music from 9 PM to 2AM- Later learnt that the Restaurant next-door (Iron Bar) became a night club and this went on from Thursday to Saturday or Sunday, not so sure. But got this information firsthand as I was forced to get out of bed to find out where the loud music was coming from. It felt as if the party was right on my balcony. I was expecting to have a good two days of sleep after surviving a cyclone and being stranded in the Daintree for a number of days. But this was not the case. Also, there was a fob missing from my keys- when I called reception to ask about entry, they were not very helpful had to figure out how to gain entry using a side door and one of the keys on the room keys (receptionist told me that there is supposed to be a fob on the keys- keys had no fob). I even asked the receptionist on the phone if one of the keys on the key ring could be used but she said that she had no idea. So, I had to try my luck with the set of keys (I would recommend that you indicate in your welcome letter about the keys/fob and entry clearly- to avoid confusion)

When I placed my glasses on the headboard, they fell back. On retrieving them the back of the headboard was full of dust and cobwebs. I also received a bite on my left upper arm during the night. Visible 3 days later. I have photos.

Highly recommend Mantra on the Inlet. So close to everything so you can come and go as many times as you like without having to wait for buses. When you do go back to your unit there is piece and quiet by the pool very relaxing. 😎

The room was ok, clean. Bathroom was clean. Was NOT told that there was NO lift, even when I rang location. I rang to confirm that we could have 2 seperate beds, and this was supplied. I did ask for a walk in shower as a member of our group had mobility issues. I was not told that there was no lift and that we had to walk up stairs to get to our room. As my friend has mobility issues and needs to use a crutch, this made going anywhere at any time limited. This severely impaired any plans we had made. It would have been good to be told that this was an unserviced room. This is very below standard for what I expect from the Mantra brand, especially when the room similar to other serviced units with a lift available.

Ground floor room #100 had rain coming down on roof from an above downpipe make a thunderous noise on our roof could not sleep
