Great location close to everything on the esplanade. But the room wasn’t cleaned properly, blanket smelt really bad and could tell it hadn’t been cleaned recently. Had a few friends stay also and said they found stains on their bed sheets. The hand wash was dodgey, kept snapping when you used it. Won’t be staying at the mantra on the inlet again. Definitely overpriced, can’t believe how much I paid for the state of the room.

It’s a great location, however we were quite disappointed with both the property and the level of service. There was no one at reception on arrival and we had to use the phone to call through a few times before eventually retrieving our key from the lockbox. We also felt a bit uneasy with the setup, as there were multiple envelopes with guest names visible. The layout with stairs was a little challenging and no lift, and while I understand the hotel was fully booked, as a Platinum member I had hoped for a room of a similar standard to others in our group who all booked individually. Some of our friends, who are new Accor members, had lovely rooms with balconies, while ours was basic in comparison. The welcome amenity appeared to be the same for all guests. Check out was also quite impersonal, with no staff available, so we simply left the key. Unfortunately, I also left a pair of shoes in the room, and so far they haven’t been located! Overall, while the location is excellent, the experience didn’t meet expectations.
