The staff are delightful overall - no complaints at all. The spa was great. I found the bed too hard and a mattress topper wasnt possible due to the room change couldnt happen during a 3 night stay. With this accom at $500 a night for a room that had no daily service or towel or sheet change (available for only a minimum of an 8 day stay if I recall correctly) I found disappointing. I realise it was the height of the season but even so this wasnt what I expected for this price and just means the cost cutting feels plainly evident. I also found the balconys too exposed to other neighbours for privacy too.

Great location, walking distance to town and the beach. Comfortable beds. Greta communication from staff prior to and during our stay. The pool was bigger than the pictures indicate and was very refreshing. We used the BBQ one night and it worked well. Lots of parking for our car. The outdoor spa bath was lovely after a day of long walking. Extra towels were not an issue. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Port Douglas.

I was really disappointed with the room that I was allocated, its was supposed to be a swimout room but it wasn't. You might class it as one but I wouldn't. I had to step up onto the decking it wasn't a flat deck (Room 9A). I also didn't like how people from the adjoining room would be walking passed our outdoor area which made it a lack of privacy. The door that lead out to the outside street was very noisy as it would be slammed from people going in & out at all hours, maybe it could be off limits at certain times and guest could use the front entrance. I have been staying at Mantra Aqueous for about 12 years and was very disappointed that I wasn't able to have one of the 3 room that I had requested (approximately 12 months in advance). I do understand if the owners of the apartments request their rooms they get first preference but I did notice that one of the room would of been available for majority of the time I was there and I did say I could adjust my times if needed so I was able to have the room I requested.

Dear Sheena, Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we’re genuinely sorry that you were disappointed with your stay, particularly after being a returning guest for so many years. I had a look at your booking and can confirm that Room 9A was included among the 4 rooms you had requested that was noted by our team 25-August last year. In fact, 9A is one of our most frequently requested Swim-Out One Bedroom apartments. We also checked the availability of the other rooms you had requested during your stay. All of them were occupied for the majority of your stay, with only one of the requested rooms becoming vacant for just one night. Unfortunately, this meant we were unable to move you into one of those apartments for the duration of your stay. While we always do our very best to accommodate our guests’ room requests, these requests are subject to availability and can never be guaranteed, regardless of how far in advance a booking is made. We also sent an email in 19-May to clarify that, while your room preference was noted on the reservation, we could not guarantee a particular room number. We completely understand that this may be disappointing, especially for a loyal returning guest. However, during peak periods, we can have multiple guests requesting the same apartment, and our responsibility is to ensure that every confirmed reservation is accommodated fairly and as booked. We truly value our returning guests and would be very happy to welcome you back again. We just hope that, should you choose to return, you would be comfortable with the possibility of being allocated another suitable room if your preferred apartment is not available. If having a specific room guaranteed is essential, we would completely understand if you preferred to choose accommodation that is able to offer that guarantee. We’re also sorry about the noise from the external door. This has already been raised with our maintenance team for attention. Close to main street with lots of eating options. Short walk to the marina and beach. Only problem was the small room which didn't comfortably allow for 2 opened suitcases. Bathroom had enough space for toiletry bags.

Location was everything for this trip as I had recent surgery and my mobility was limited. Short walk to restaurants, enjoyed the self contained ground floor unit for a 5 night stay. My partner enjoyed the pool at our swimout room for morning laps.

Lovely pool access unit with everything you need for a great stay. Close to the main strip where restaurants and bars are a short walk away, as is the beach. Clean, pool towels supplied and secure parking under the building.

We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the apartment, however we were unlucky that our dishwasher broke down, and then on the last day our fridge broke down - all the food in our fridge was spoiled and unedible.

Dear Marita, Thank you for your message, and we’re very glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay and the apartment. We’re sorry to hear about the inconvenience you experienced with the appliances. We understand how frustrating it would have been to discover that your food had spoiled, particularly on your last day. Regarding the fridge, we had it checked after your departure and confirmed that the fridge itself was working correctly. We found that the power to the fridge had been switched off, which meant it was not operating at the time. We also note that the fridge issue was reported to us at around 5:00 pm on your last day. Had we been made aware of the issue earlier, we would have been able to attend promptly, investigate and rectify the matter, which may have helped prevent the food from spoiling. With regard to the dishwasher, the issue was addressed promptly. A replacement was approved by the unit owner and the new dishwasher was installed to ensure the apartment was properly equipped for your use. Thank you again for your understanding.
