Hotel location was perfect, room was big, comfortable clean and well designed - the swim up pool was awesome as was the Jacuzzi. All the reasons we chose this over the other properties in PD lived up to expectations (and probably even more). The only issue is that there were ongoing works in the hotel and across the street which we had not been informed of. At one point there was a guy in a hi-vis literally hanging off the roof over the swimming pool, another time they were drilling on the balcony just above ours. When we came back our balcony was covered in large metal shavings (by luck we saw them before going out barefoot which could have resulted in injury). Unfortunately each time we addressed this with reception we were treated by complete indifference - "oh there are works going on?" (when there were workers all over the place). We asked for a room move which was supposedly not possible as the hotel was supposedly full... No sign of any management just the same gentleman at the desk most days who didn't care and one younger lady in the evenings who did care, and came herself to clean up the metal shavings.

Amazing hotel/apartment. So obliging and helpful. Staff cannot do enough. Room is incredible. Kitchen/laundry perfect. A perfect place to stay with swim out pool from own patio.

location was brilliant and room was brilliant lounges in our room were a bit worn and saggy - the only downside maybe a word in your welcome pack about noise / music would be prudent as the room next door was playing very loud music poolside until I asked them, politely, to turn it down. the pool, trees and birdsong made for a very relaxing holiday. we will be back

Our room was very tired, there was a Band-Aid holding the shower screen together, whoever painted the bathroom left paint on the towel rails, bathroom fan didn’t work making the bathroom very hot and humid, the tv hadn’t been set up properly so we couldn’t cast or access the apps, our friends room had full functionality on their tv, the desk staff said the internet in Port Douglas isn’t very good for the tv but the property has its own internet, staff weren’t very knowledgeable about our gold benefits, the pool was not well maintained had leaves etc in it and wasn’t cleaned once while we were there, the bricks on our pool area were falling apart overall a poor property compared to others we have stayed at I probably wouldn’t stay Mantra again.
