Dear Hung, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're pleased to hear you enjoyed our central location and the convenience of having Port Douglas' restaurants, shops and attractions all within easy walking distance. I am sorry that some aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations. As a resort-style property, daily housekeeping is not included. This information is provided in our pre-arrival communication sent approximately one week before arrival. Should guests wish to have additional servicing during their stay, this can be arranged for an additional fee, and fresh towels and amenities are always available from reception during staffed hours. I also understand that the after-hours arrival process may have felt inconvenient. While our reception is not staffed 24 hours a day, we do provide after-hours support and have an on-call team member available should assistance be required. Regarding the room allocation, I sincerely apologise for the confusion experienced. We received multiple bookings and cancellations under your name leading up to arrival, and one reservation also had guest names interchanged. I also recall receiving a phone call from our Central Reservations team regarding an amendment request relating to the booking that fell outside the standard Stay Plus terms and conditions. While our teams worked together to accommodate the changes where possible, the combination of amendments and multiple reservations unfortunately added complexity to the final allocation. Dear Cody, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed our central location and were able to take advantage of being within easy walking distance of the restaurants, shops and beautiful Four Mile Beach. That said, I am genuinely sorry to learn that your arrival experience was frustrating and that the after-hours check-in instructions were not as clear as they should have been. Arriving at your holiday destination should be simple and stress-free, and I apologise that this was not your experience. After reviewing our records, I can confirm that an SMS containing the after-hours arrival instructions was sent at 3:51pm on Friday to the mobile number ending in 809 that was provided with the booking. We understand that technology does not always work as expected, and if the message was not received, we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused. We would be more than happy to email you a screenshot of the transmission record should you wish to see it. I also appreciate your comments regarding staff presence at the resort. As a small resort-style property, it is unfortunately not viable for us to operate a 24-hour reception desk. However, we do have an after-hours support service and an on-call team member available onsite to assist guests with urgent matters outside reception hours. While this differs from the service model of a larger full-service hotel, we certainly never want our guests to feel unsupported during their stay. Thank you again for your honest feedback.
