Asked if wheelchair friendly…..it really wasn’t 15 steps up to reception Another 12 steps and then two more 3 steps Booked swim out room to pool….we were blocked by a chain from the pool steps The elevator was down for some time The path to pool could have been weeded We could have been told that there was a street level entrance in the next st ………still we enjoyed port douglas

We chose this hotel for the location. Easy to walk everywhere and not drive. Only downfall is there was no divider separating the bed to the kitchen even though there was a track there. Reception said no staff to rectify which was disappointing. Meaning you couldn't sleep if someone else was using kitchen or watching Lounge TV. Surrounds was nice and quiet, quite private. Just needs maintenance and can see the wear and tear of the building, and a few weeds in 2nd floor garden beds. Not sure if we would stay here again.

Staff do friendly. Room was so big & lovely with swim out. Only thing it was dark inside & mouldy smell with aircon in bedroom only but will cone back again in different room. Enjoyed our stay though.
