I stayed at the hotel to see the Tour De France, the location was perfect, the stay were super friendly and helpful and the place was really nice. My only downside was that the first room I was given was over the back of the hotel and bar, on a Thursday they have a DJ which made it impossible to sleep but the hotel moved me to another room. My advice would be, when you book say you do not want a hotel room at the back or above the bar.

We stayed in a suite at the hotel. It was a really beautiful room, especially the bathroom was one of the most luxurious I have seen, in terms of marble and material used. The team at the reception was also attentive and helpful. However, the house keeping was a bit of a letdown. Insufficient toiletries were provided for us (which is ok) but it literally took 45 minutes and 4 phone calls to get the stuff, while the house keeping cart was just down the hallway. Finally someone from the reception came to give it, 45 minutes later. Given that is a smaller hotel, was surprising and an irritation. Second night the housekeeping didn't refill the minibar. Again the reception team came and gave the drinks and snacks. Also you may want to avoid breakfast/dinner if you have small (more vivacious) kids. Somehow the atmosphere seemed a bit intimate and some of the other patrons did not appreciate the loudness of our young kids. Nothing against the hotel, but something to keep in mind.

Definitely a 5star feel to the room - felt fresh, clean and modern. Location was good - easy to find by car and short walk to the Cathedral / shops. Breakfast was ok.

Good welcome, but lack of detail spoilt it a little,, no information about room service in room or how to get it, had to ring reception to find out it was on the tv , Also rang reception to ask about breakfast room service and was told someone would get back to us, but they didn’t ! This was important to us as my wife is immunosuppressed so needs to be careful, we stayed at the sister hotel Troyes centre on our way down and the food choice and service was much better, so would likely stay there again! Shame as the Licerne looked really nice, but it is only ever as good as the service supplied!
