Really nice hotel. Lovely room, clean and fresh. Friendly staff

We understand that you had some difficulty with the parking situation, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Our parking lot is limited in size, and we are unable to reserve spaces. However, we do have a nearby public parking option, Parkhaus Drosselstar, located just 200 meters from the hotel for future reference. Nice location of the hotel - just a few steps far from the S-bahn and U-bahn station. Fantastic breakfast. I would prefer a small fridge and kettle (+ simple tea, coffee) at rooms.

All in all a very pleasant stay, but somewhat surprising and unacceptable to find that despite a booking confirmation stating: "Total (fees and taxes included)" there are additional taxes (city tax) to be paid at the hotel.

I traveled from Denmark, with a party of 9 people in June, for a short company getaway and spent 3 nights at Ibis Style Barmbek. Apart from the noise from the trains in the railroad just outside our windows, we really enjoyed our stay. Decent food, the reception was sweet - although they had a hard time understanding our needs because they didn’t speak English. And the location was near public transport, which was a plus. The only remark I had was concerning our invoice. I asked several times both by phone and in email, to get an invoice after paying our stay and every time I was told that they would send it, which they never did. That was very unprofessional. Would maybe stay here again, if I was traveling with a fluent German speaking friend and didn’t need the bill.
