Very friendly and helpful welcome. I had booked a single bedroom, with the request for a sofa bed to be made up. On arrival I was advised that I had been upgraded to a two-bedroom apartment. I was delighted as I had really wanted to treat my friend. We loved the spacious living area, two bedrooms and two bedrooms, which suited our needs perfectly. We were in town to attend the ASB Women's Tennis and were able to walk to and from Stanley Street each day because of the central location of the Quay West. We would both definitely stay again.

We did not receive any warning about roadwork ahead of the trip (we had made the booking many months ago). While request to have the pull-out sofa to be prepared for bed was met in a timely fashion, the quality of the mattress was quite bad. One day cleaning in the bathroom left a lot to be desired.

Good facilities however staff lacked knowledge about the Accor Loyalty program

Good location but room was very out dated, worn and disappointing. Hotel is generally in a state of disrepairs. Disappointing to see pool not working as we had children with us and that when I looked at the reviews this has been the case for over two months and we had not been advised of this before our stay.

After a tiring journey from Queenstown, it was a relief to be warmly welcomed to The Sebel Quay. We were upgraded to a 3 bedroom apartment, which had a kitchen outfitted with everything one would need to prepare gourmet meals. The beds were super comfy and the entire place was very clean. Best of all, the staff were very well-trained and responsive to our questions and requests. The wifi was fast and there were cable channels available. As it was our last stop on our 21-day journey throughout New Zealand, we could stay for only a night before our flight back home. Next time, we will surely stay longer. Thank you for the warm hospitality.

We stayed 1-night as a stopover before flying home from NZ. The interleading apartment had what we needed in terms of check-in staff, space and location. The beds were great and linen clean, the bathrooms were clean. Overall, the apartment is old and needs some love - curtains coming off rails, windows don't close properly so even on 22nd floor, there is city noise, carpets old. Also, the swimming pool was closed for renovation.

I have stayed at the Sebel Quay West 5 times now. This was probably the lease enjoyable stay as I was disappointed with the maintenance work happening in the hall.

From the front desk Manager to the housekeeping staff, they all know how to make the stay memorable. The rooms have been tastefully configured to a good standard without going over the top, with most rooms taking full advantage of the high set position with excellent views over the harbor and adjacent city view. From the moment we arrived we were treated as if there was only us. My points were due to expire the next day, the Front Office staff made sure we used them and did not loose them, so kind. The staff so friendly and helpful. the operations manager WAS GREAT TAKING TIME TO CHAT. Our rooms were perfrct and the service great.

Very central. Pool was empty and corridors looked like they were being renovated, sort of.

Space was great, bedsheets were clean, other than that, apartment 1507 is tired and dirty. It does not take much to hoover the floors properly. The whole apartment is in desperate need of upgrading. This is marketed as a 4 star establishment - it is not.

The apartment was spacious and clean but rather old. The deco, furniture, carpets and soft furnishings need refreshing to a more modern and contemporary look. Location was good but view of the harbour is sorely blocked by tall building nearby. Check-in and check-out were seamless and staffs were friendly and helpful, though the cafe quoted 1+ hours of waiting time.

Fantastic 2 bedroom room with all facilities. Love the view being a corner unit. Recommend for couples or family that want to stay whether one night or more. Fantastic that this property is included in the Accor stable.

The room was in need of refurbishment but it looked as if that was underway in the hallway. There were no cushions on the damaged and uncomfortable sofa, no plug in the bath tub or sink and the toilet seat needed replacing. I reported this to reception but nothing was done and there was no follow up from staff. This was my third visit to the Sebel Quay West but potentially my last if the room allocation is such a lottery and my silver status counts for nought.
