An intimate 4.5 star apartment style hotel which is within 200 meters of the harbour right in the heart of Auckland's central business district and downtown shopping precinct. 28 well-appointed 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments enable guests to choose the convenience of hotel services or savour the independence that only apartment style accommodation can deliver.

The Sebel Quay West Auckland is just minutes from the city's iconic Viaduct Harbour and Downtown shopping precinct - making it the ideal apartment stay for visitors looking to experience the best in retail therapy, waterfront views and fine dining. Take a stroll down Queen Street, explore the Britomart Precinct, or head to shopping hotspots in nearby Parnell, Newmarket and Ponsonby. Afterwards, head back to the Viaduct to relax by the harbour and indulge in local cuisine.

The property will be undertaking an exterior painting upgrade from December 2025 to July 2026. These works will take place during normal business hours, Monday to Friday. The hotel is well located in Auckland’s Central Business District. It’s very close to bus stops and Auckland Harbour. There are many shops, restaurants, and bars around. The room was quite large and very clean. The customer service was top-notch. The rooms just need a bit of refurbishment because they look a bit old.

When we arrived, we were given keys to a room that already had occupants inside. It was around 1am, and the situation was quite distressing for both them and us. After that, I was moved to another room, but I noticed it didn’t have deadbolts, which left me feeling unsafe. Later, while I was jet lagged and resting, cleaners entered the room—I hadn’t heard their knocking—which added to my sense of discomfort and lack of privacy. Given these experiences, I didn’t feel at ease continuing my stay, so I made the decision to cancel the remaining 11 nights.

Doing construction to the façade of the building. There is only one lift working. Which makes it very difficult if you’re on a higher floor.

Lovely stay in this centrally located and spacious apartment. Very well located to Ferry terminal, the centre of the City and coffee shops and restaurants. We had a lovely view. Apartment was a little dated with broken PowerPoints and the beds need updating.
