Very nice apartment in great location. Very clean and quite well maintained for age. Re Other comments about it being 'dated'.. the 1930s are also 'dated' but we call that Art Deco. This property is a great example of simple luxury of the 1990s and should be enjoyed as that. Lifts were always fast and available. Reception - Ursula? - could not have been more helpful or friendly! She is a true gem to the company. Cons - The pool has been closed for a year and yet it is still advertised on the website and unless you take special care to look carefully, you wouldn't know it's closed. The photo displayed of the one bedroom apartment with the glorious view of the harbour is false and misleading. We were on 14th floor and had a narrow view of the princes wharf between the buildings opposite and, if you stood out on the far end of the balcony and leaned out, you had a great view of the harbour bridge. The main view from within the apartment is of the buildings opposite. Honest photos are much better for ensuring happy return guests.

Room was looking a bit tired, mold on kitchen window. Very noisy with early construction/traffic

It was our 12th stay. The property is tied and short staffed. We didn’t get our normal service.

Will not return

Overall Dated and poorly presented rooms, poor value for money, higher quality, and better value for money options available in Auckland. Observations: • Possibly an 80's90's design that has not been materially updated in some time • Chipped and cracked floor tiles in bathroom and kitchen. This is a hygiene/health risk • Main sofa held together with visible metal staples • Paintwork/decoration needs urgent maintenance. Doors chipped and worn • Furniture shows sign of age with significant wear/scores/discolouration • Large stain on one dining room char, others discoloured • Kitchen windowsill cracked, marked and generally unhygienic • Mirror frames cracked and chipped I have pictures of the above Other: The smell from the first-floor café is overpowering in the 14th floor corridor The AC unit took some time to heat the room and blew cold air until the heating element eventually kicked in... it is unclear if the catual temperature reflects the number on the control i..e was 22 actually 22. In general, unclear if the room was clean and/or hygienic for occupation In 30 years of travelling the world on business and holidays this is one of the poorest hotels I have ever stayed in - Including third world countries
