The physical accom is lovely, unfortunately my room was overlooking queen street and my window didn’t close properly so I couldn’t sleep as it was so loud.

What a fabulous weekend away, the greeting and speedy service from the lovely lady at the front desk, so friendly and eager to assist. Our room was clean and comfortable!! We also went to dinner at restaurant, the food was delicious and the portion size was just perfect. We were amazed by the quality, high standards of service,- Sam* Who looked after us, got great work ethics, well done!! Our included breakfast was amazing, Loved everything. Thank you for wonderful memories, we will be back!

The hotel is perfectly positioned and bar area is a great place to sit, but several issues occurred during our stay: Initial booking through Accor was very poor. We were overcharged with repeated denials that an error was made. I received several dishonest responses from central price matching team until I complained officially - then they sorted out the correct price. However, arriving at the hotel the reception told me there was an outstanding payment to make - there was not. I again was responsible for proving that they had made an error. All was resolved but hassle ++. It is surprising that Accor central staff seem to have a policy of dishonestly, repeatedly and deliberately mis-stating their written policies. This occurred on 3 occasions with different spurious and false reasons being given by different staff members. This is either extreme incompetence at best, or more likely it seems a deliberate denial process to put hurdles in the way presumably in the hope you will go away. The room itself was small but attractively well presented. There was nowhere to open a suitcase except on the bed as no floor space was big enough. The room was unfortunately like a sauna. The aircon switched itself off after a short time despite several resets. We did not sleep well. The next morning we mentioned this to reception and the response was that now they control it centrally and not using the room controls as they only work for a short time. There is no mention of this anywhere either written or verbal. Overall therefore this could be a lovely hotel but the experience was very poor. In fact it was the worse experience we had on a 5 week trip.

I also sincerely apologize for the issues with your room’s air conditioning and size. A comfortable night’s sleep is fundamental, and I regret that the temperature and space did not meet your needs. I understand how frustrating it must have been to reset the controls repeatedly and not receive proper communication about the system. Your feedback is invaluable, and we appreciate you bringing these matters to our attention. We will use your comments to improve both our processes and guest communication moving forward. If you choose to return to Auckland, I hope you will consider giving us another opportunity to provide the exceptional stay we are known for. Beautifully appointed boutique hotel, perfect location

Check-in was seamless, and staff very nice. Room was large and well laid out with many amenities. Good water pressure, nice lighting, and comfortable bed. China tea set was a nice touch. Only negative was Cook’S. restaurant which was clearly under-staffed the evening we ate there. They only took a few reservations to accommodate the kitchen but were out of 2 main dishes at 7:00! However, the meal was delicious.
