I celebrated my birthday with my friends at the Cooke's Restaurant in this fabulous Fable hotel. We had the best time. Shout out to Sam and his team for rendering an impeccable service. It was one of my rare experiences of professional and warm customer service in NZ. Hats off to the culinary team whose food tastes and presentations have exceeded my expectations. The menu is innovatively curated, its dishes are flavourful, and we truly enjoyed them. Well done to the team!

The rooms are clean and beautiful. The staff are amazing. We had a large group and they were so kind. The location is convenient and within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. The history of the building is really interesting too.

Central location meaning noisy on weekends

On the positive note: great hotel, well located not far from Britomart. I was happily upgraded to a suit (Gold member) which was very large, clean and well decorated. The handwritten note and the welcome pastries are a nice touch. Special mention to the daily turn down service, with tea and water bottles provided. There are a spa and a sauna, note you need to book from the concierge. The breakfast buffet is nice. The staff was very friendly. I was offered some tea while waiting to check-in. On the negative side: being close to bars and clubs, you can clearly hear the music from the room on Fridays and Saturdays. They give you complimentary ear plugs for a reason. Some soundproofing works are needed around the windows. If you plan to stay during weekdays, this hotel is a good choice.

This place was magic! Everything you wish for in a hotel! The rooms were so luxurious, the bed was cosy & comfortable, the breakfast had barista made coffee, every staff member was lovely & couldn’t do enough for you. This place made you feel so special, we would definitely stay here again!
