Hi Frederick, Thanks for taking the time to share your experience! We’re thrilled to hear that you found our hotel to be clean and that you enjoyed our facilities. It’s fantastic to know that we’ve upheld our usual standards for you. I’m sorry to hear about the mix-up at reception when you were trying to retrieve your luggage. Your feedback is important, and I understand how frustrating it can be to wait when you're in a hurry. We’ll definitely look into how we can improve communication at the reception desk to ensure our guests feel acknowledged right away. I appreciate your understanding and patience during that moment. Thanks again for your kind words and for bringing this to our attention. We hope to welcome you back soon! Best regards, ibis budget Bilbao City

hairs are everywhere in the room, lots of hair on the floor, a few hair on the towels... my room was not clean enough..

As always Ibis was an excellent hotel. Very clean and all the usual facilities were very good. The only blemish was on leaving I had left luggage which I wanted to retrieve. On reception one staff member was checking a couple in, the other was working on his computer. He tersely advised me to wait. Time was ticking by & I reluctantly approached the man again & he retrieved my luggage- I think if you are on reception then maybe " with you in a minute may suffice" but you can't keep people waiting unless you put up a sign denoting that desk was closed. Also when I went to retrieve my luggage he asked me which was my bag - when I pointed it out he was disbelieving. I showed him the picture of my tag and he retrieved my luggage but he still looked unconvinced.

A comfortable stay in a good location close to main transport interchange and tram stops. Breakfast area can become a little crowded when busy and the large heavy stools which are difficult to manoeuvre do not help in maximising use of the space

Overall experience was bad. When we arrived we were asked if we were going for the town festival and we confirmed that not. Anyway, they allocated us on the ground floor room 010 and all night we heard the festival, the receptionist and the workers speaking in from of our room. Super uncomfortable and we did not sleep at all.

Frederic H. J. M. Couples - Confirmed reviews ALL

Two adults and a dog accommodated at reasonable cost near the city centre. Check - in was easy and staff were informative. Clean room and facilities. Unable to offer us parking but they stored our bikes, which was helpful. Missed having a kettle (surely this is possible even in a cheap room??), having a noisy air con which limited sleep and toilet doors that don’t offer sound proofing meant the stay wasn’t ideal.

Hi Frederic, Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us! We're happy to hear you found our location convenient and appreciated the cleanliness and helpfulness of our staff. I’m sorry to learn that some aspects of your stay didn’t meet your expectations, especially regarding the air conditioning and soundproofing. We understand that these can impact your comfort. As for the kettle, you can always ask for one as well as other amenities such as toothbrushes, razors, combs and more at the front desk. We focus on creating a streamlined experience in our rooms and appreciate your feedback. We hope to welcome you again soon! Best regards, ibis budget Bilbao City

Small rooms No space for storage Twin beds but no space to separate the beds, Poop on the spare toilet paper. A pillow randomly appeared in the room in the corner after we returned at the end of the day. Reception staff was helpful.

Dear Shikha, Thanks for your feedback. I'm sorry to hear the room size and storage didn't meet your expectations. Our rooms are designed to be functional for short stays, but I understand it may not suit everyone. I'm glad you found our reception staff helpful! Best wishes, ibis budget Bilbao City

I love that the hotel is well located. However, I did check in online and received an confirmation email, so I don't know why I had to go through the whole process again at the reception by filling a form and showing my passport. This didn't happen to me when I checked-in another two ibis hotels.

Hi Hui Y. F., Thanks for your feedback! We're thrilled to hear you loved our location. We strive to provide a seamless check-in experience, but sometimes local regulations require us to confirm details at reception, including identification. We appreciate your understanding and hope it won't deter you from staying with us again. Take care, ibis budget Bilbao City

This review is written on the basis that I booked a budget hotel. Comfortable basic room with everything you need for a couple of nights stay. Breakfast was basic but all you needed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was ok. 20-30 minutes walk to the main sights but great transport links if the metro, tram is a better option. Great location for the airport bus (5 minutes walk).

Friendly and efficient Reception staff. Well-located for the bus station. Small room though. Not enough room to pass by the end of the bed without hitting the wall-mounted TV. Did not like the lack of a separate ensuite bathroom. Small sink in bedroom was not helpful. V. Comfortable bed though and efficient Air Con.
