Hotel was well located, room was basic, clean & comfortable and breakfast was OK. Check-in experience however was a poor first impression. Despite pre-booking with car parking space and providing all details, process took over ten minutes during which time the receptionist took multiple phone calls and interrupted check-in to deal with other issues. Then had to be reminded that I needed car parking access and detail. Felt like a cool welcome at best.

OK - but just so so so loud

We stay with Ibis when we have a chance. Always great service, clean, and a small but quality room. I hope this only goes to Ibis because I am not trying to be rude but do feel you should have some honest feedback. We stayed in room 12. I feel like room 11 and 12 are the luggage storage closet and indeed when we were leaving there was luggage stored in that area. This was probably the loudest hotel room I have ever stayed in. We could hear the kitchen, the phone at the front desk, and the space above us. We were only in for one night but I still woke up quite frustrated with an angry wife. I will say the person at the front desk apologized and gave us a complimentary breakfast. It didnt’t make up for the lack of sleep but it showed some compassion and took the edge off. We have had good experiences with Ibis so I would like to give some honest feedback here instead of posting something on social. I don’t think you should use rooms 11 and 12 in Bilbao as they are so incredibly noisy and even though you can probably generate some revenue from those rooms I believe they hurt your brand too much when people have a bad experience. Overall still love Ibis/Accor. The location in Epernay, France was especially great. Thank you, Brent H.
